Food is delicious and amazing. I enjoy the "Miso Hot." Though there are cons,
    1. Music is really loud, hard to talk.
    2. Employees can be rude. I didn't tip one time (you order in a line and fill your own drink) and the lady at the counter sarcastically said to me "wow thanks so much, we really appreciate it." It was completely inappropriate. Just because your food is good, you also need to treat customers with respect.
    3. Environment is community seating, understandable but not my favorite.
    4. No fountain drinks.

Holy Ramen Batman! If you are looking for ramen look no further. Treat your stomach and wait in line for this delicious experience. Don't let the line outside the door scare you away. Let it motivate your taste buds, what's inside is worth it. They are very efficient and get it done.

Awesome! Never had real ramen before so I had to check this place out when my friends invited me. The broth is so good!

The service is really fast despite waiting in a little line. Check this place out...you won't be disappointed.

Blown away by the first impression this establishment made. You’re given a warm welcome the moment you walk in and you’ll be impressed by how well they can explain the different food choices. This was my first time trying this establishment out with a few friends of mine and hands down, we will definitely be returning! The Ramen was 7/5, definitely worth the price.

The wait was super long but we were served drinks in line which was awesome. The seating is comfortable but quite communal in that you’re sitting elbow to elbow with a stranger in most cases. The got the Original Tonkatsu bowl with a spice bomb. It was incredibly good. Full flavor with great broth. The pork belly was very very good. Get the extra egg. Also had gyoza which I would recommend.

Lastly...if you wanna be a good citizen of the world, get up and leave when you’re done eating so the next group waiting in line can enjoy too. There are cafes nearby with plenty of space for chit chat and catching up after a meal.

The best Ramen restaurant in Austin. Line is long during lunch time but the lines move quickly. People are nice and employees are wonderful. Vibe is great also wonderful music.

Hard to beat. Great noodles, broth and sides. Very cool people here. I took a friend who could not eat pork and the chef came out and figured out something that would work for him. Don't expect this, but it was great they care.

I absolutely love this place, the food is ridiculously amazing. I have never even once been disappointed and I never knew how great Ramen could be. The atmosphere inside of this restaurant is also very interesting and upbeat, definitely an experience you have to try. But as I read somebody else's review I thought about it, and they really do need more of a drink selection. I don't drink alcohol hardly ever so my only choices were water, Mexican Coke, alcohol, or weird flavored unsweetened teas, or other strange drinks. I would really like just having a regular soda or sweet tea instead of Mexican Coke especially since it's $3 a bottle. It is good, but so bubbly that it makes me burp constantly. Other then that I still love this place.

This is my husband and my favorite place to take out of town guests. Their food is always amazing and it never disappoints.
They run very efficiently with their seating and food. It's a small place so if you go during a busy time it's not a place I sit and chat with people at. There's usually a line out the door.
I've never waited a long time for food to arrive. The soup portions are huge. I love the add-in of the brussels sprouts- absolutely amazing.
    Just try it!

Definitely the best Ramen I have ever had. The broth was so flavorful and the pork was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The marinated egg is so delicious and with the flavors from the broth couldn't make it better. I would recommend this place for anyone! The place is small and usually has some wait but the service is quick and you get your food fast.

I've been to this Tatsu-ya once and the one on south Lamar twice. The food is consistently excellent! I love the Mi-so-hot with the Brussels sprouts and an extra egg added. The Brussels sprouts are excellent as a side too. The only thing that would knock it down a fraction is that it was loud. But we were there on a Saturday evening. So we expected louder music. But the ramen is so good I still had to give it 5 stars. Also as the other reviewer mentioned, there will likely be a line out the door. But it moves fast.

Classic Japanese noodles. Very tasty and fast. Not overly expensive and now open all day without the hiatus mid-day like they used to have. The only thing that I find lacking is that they do not brew or serve 'hot tea'. This is a bit odd for Japanese food establishment, no?

Short wait outside, and we were seated fairly quickly. Great atmosphere, friendly and prompt service, and very generous portion size. The ajitama (soft-boiled egg) was on point!

Ramen Tatsu-ya is so tasty. Don't let the line outside intimidate you. They do not have a line inside and it moves fast. This is not a place you go to linger. They have a fast turnover. You sit, get your food fast and move on so that the next people can get their fix. You will not be disappointed. They have the most flavorful broth I have ever had.

There was a 30 min wait on the sidewalk leading into the restaurant. Lots of eager faces were reassuring to this first time customer. The person taking our order was very friendly and helpful with suggestions/explanations. Contrary to other reviews, I liked the music. The food was very good (I got the mi so not) but my wife thought the original was a bit rich and could not finish it. The prices were a bit high for what we got, but not so much that I wouldn't return.
