Deanne created a fun unit study this week for Dr. Seuss! Learn a little bit about his background, his first books for children, and the fun technical term for the rhyming pattern he often used in his books.
Happy Monday, friends!
The journey can be hard, but don't lose heart. ❤️

Do you have family read-aloud time? Do you read stories together throughout the day, or do you have an evening read-aloud tradition? Mike shared some great ideas in this week's article on using stories in your homeschool!
We can't let today go by without a big "Happy Birthday" shout-out to Bob, co-owner of Rainbow Resource Center! We celebrated today with a soup & salad potluck and oatmeal cookies (his favorite!) Whether he's running our end-of-day processes, plowing our parking lot, jumping in to help ship Christmas orders, leading a company Bible study, or going out to a homeschool show, he leads by example, fills in wherever is needed and we love working with him every day. We'd love it if you'd share some birthday greetings for Bob too! 🎂
This is so helpful! I love the conversation starters to help our children learn to problem solve and develop "common sense" (so to speak!) ~Deanne
❤️ this quote...loving our children and teaching them to love others❤️ another benefit and blessing of homeschooling! -Deanne
Interesting article showing how art projects can reduce stress hormones.
A great quote! This can be easier to do for littles, but can really make a difference at the upper grades as well.
With wintery weather once again impacting the midwest (and beyond!) we thought you might enjoy some Cabin Fever Relief ;) Would LOVE to hear your ideas! ~Deanne
We're wrapping up a spectacular New York Toy Fair - so many great meetings and awesome new educational products! What would you like to see more of in the catalog? 😃
