Excellent service and very friendly. Our dog had tplo surgery 10 weeks ago and is doing excellent. Today we see how the healing process is doing via xrays. Dr.Giri has done an excellent job I am sure. The hard part is keeping after an exuberant animal who wants to run and play.

Dr Giri and staff provided exceptional care, service and financial assistance when our cat had a badly broken leg, requiring surgery with plates and pins. As he says, he treated our cat like it was his own, and he certainly did! She's like new now. He's got my business!

The professionals that work here offer better attention and care for my pet than I've seen in several hospitals for humans. The Dr. Giri is always staying up to date on techniques and knowledge, and has continued to improve his surgical capabilities steadfastly. To boot, this business charges amazingly low prices. For a battery of tests my dog needed, one hospital was going to charge $4k, whereas Rainbow offered the same services for a total of $800!

Upon relocating from Florida to Pennsylvania we needed to find a veterinarian for our English Bulldog, Temple. While in Florida Temple tore her ACL while we were in the process of moving. So we knew what we were facing after arriving in Natrona Heights, Pa. We started looking around and found a vet on the other side of town and took Temple there for their opinion. When walking in the door we had a bad feeling about this place and to do ACL repair we would need to go all the way to another vet to do the surgery. A week later we decided to go to Rainbow Veterinary Hospital. Our first thought was wow there are no cars in the parking lot, to our surprise we were very welcomed at the front desk and met Dr. Girl. We explained to Dr. Giri of Temple tearing her ACL in Florida and needed his opinion. Dr. Giri did an exam and set Temple up for x rays and explained the entire process, all cost were explained up front, and gave us a tour of the Hospital. To our surprise the TPLO surgery would take place right there at the hospital by Dr. Giri and not across town. Yes we had Temples surgery done a week later and when we went to visit Temple the 2nd day she was already putting some weight on the back leg. I forgot to mention they kept Temple for 3 days for therapy, in there boarding kennels. The surgery went fantastic, Temple is walking ahead of schedule, now doing steps after 6 weeks. We would highly recommend Rainbow Veterinary Hospital for ACL repair and for your veterinary services. In fact we told the stylish who cuts our hair now she takes her 2 dogs there. Dr. Giri is someone you can trust and is very up front, and yes close to home.

Very caring and compassionate staff. Recently did TPLO surgery on my dog and he has recovered well. I recommend Dr Giri and staff to everyone.
Dr.Giri not only completed the TPLO surgery but he also cared for my 100lb dog for a few days after to ensure his full recovery. Vets like him are hard to find!report this review -

Doc and staff did a great job with our Chihuahua who needed hernia surgery. There were no complications and she was up and walking the next day. We are very happy with our healthy dog.

Back in May our 8 month old German Shepherd/Pitbull/Cattle Dog mix , Bella, had a pretty nasty fall and dislocated her hip. We were told by our local vet that it would need surgery to be put back in place and they recommended that we take her to PVSEC. They did explain that it would roughly be about $3-5k to do the surgery which was money my husband and I just didn't have. We were afraid we'd have to surrender her. However, I knew there had to be another way and I started doing some research. That's when I came across Dr. Giri and Rainbow Pet Care Center. I scheduled a consultation (which was extremely affordable by the way) and we were scheduled for surgery the next week. Everything was explained to us in detail and we never felt like we were being pushed into doing something we didn't need or want to do for our dog. The weekend of Bella's surgery, Dr. Giri and his staff took great care of our sweet girl and Dr. Giri himself even called us throughout the weekend with updates. The price we paid was extremely affordable and it covered EVERYTHING. We did have to pay $10 twice for an antibiotic ointment since Bella kept bumping her incision but we didn't mind considering everything else up until that point had been covered under the total amount we were quoted. We are extremely happy with the service and care that was provided to our Bella. We won't take our dogs anywhere else now. We are 100% satisfied with everything that Dr. Giri and Rainbow Pet Center has done for us and our Bella. We are eternally grateful!

They are knowledgeable and experienced. However, I went somewhere else due to their nature to constantly try to push more on me or "needing" to keep my cat overnight for observation for minor things (and a nice added charge to my bill) .. I have two indoor cats that only needed rabies shots, but they tried to give my cats every vaccine available for them before even asking what I needed. I care for my pets, but as a single girl working two jobs and being a frugal as I could be to keep a house at the time, I didn't appreciate the lack of communication before assuming I was jumping for the "works". I also find them to be QUITE expensive compared to my current vet of choice.

Over the years I have conducted a massive search for the perfect vet. I have driven miles, and have been referred to many by countless friends only to be consistently frustrated and disappointed with the service they provided. Then, low and behold, in my very own hometown of Oakmont appeared Dr.Giri. Oakmont has not had a vet during the 33 years I have resided here so I was excited at the prospect of being able to take my dog to a vet without driving 45 minutes. However, due to my previous negative experiences, I was skeptical to say the least.
The office is small and cozy. When I arrived I was greeted by Dr.Giri which in itself is unique. He is the only vet and therefore, the one I see regularly. This is a positive because my dog remembers and feels comfortable and at home when we arrive. Dr.Giri is always kind and positive. His vet tech is exactly the same.
Dr.Giri is by far the most thorough of any vet I have ever used. He tells me what and why he is doing what he is doing while he does it. He answers any and all questions with patience and knowledge.
But, the best part is, when there is a blood test or sample test to be run, he does it on the spot and results are given within minutes. I don't have to wait for a phone call.
He pays close attention to what my dog needs in the way of meds and tests. One time he actually made a special trip and opened the office, when it was typically closed that evening, in order to have available the medication my pup needed. He called and told me he would be there and I could pick it up. I couldn't believe it! Who goes to that extent to ensure the safety and health of your pet? Only Dr. Giri, that's who.
If you think you have the perfect vet, I challenge you to make one visit to his cozy office and see if you don't change your mind and join me in being one of his loyal patients.report this review -

Dr. Giri has been our Veterinarian for many years, and I would highly recommend him to all. I have always found Dr. Giri and his staff to be very knowledgable.
My dog, Charlie, recently had to have surgery. Dr Giri took the time to explain everything that was needed and why the surgery was necessary. He also went over all of the costs upfront. There was no hidden surprise fees after the surgery; the fee was exactly the amount told in advance.
In addition, his facility is very clean.
If you are looking for a place to bring your pet for quality care, and a doctor who is caring and compassionate, look no further! Dr. Giri and his staff are the best!report this review -

As an owner of multiple dogs, I have found that it is very important to have a Veterinarian that you can trust and rely upon not only for routine visits, but also for the unexpected. Dr. Giri and the staff at Rainbow Pet Care Center are the epitome of what every dog owner should look for when seeking a veterinarian. Dr. Giri is a gifted diagnostician and surgeon. He is continually updating his skills, equipment and resources for all pet owners. He takes time to explain what is necessary to treat an illness, and answers all questions patiently. Through his expertise and care I have been fortunate to have many of my dogs live well beyond their life expectancy. I am grateful that Dr. Giri has established a practice that is built on compassion for all animals, and cutting edge techniques and treatments.

I've been taking my dog and various cats to Rainbow for the 15 years that I've lived in the area. I've found the staff to be very caring, efficient and helpful. Now that I have several older animals, the staff goes out of their way to make the animals' and my trip there as calming and peaceful as possible. They have the latest technology available and we rarely have to go elsewhere for tests or treatment. I would recommend them!
