Drinks were well made and nicely priced for a excellent night out. Highly recommend reservations, I went without for a party of 3 so ending up sitting at the bar. The bar staff was super accommodating however the host weren't so much. Even without having a reservations they didn't seem interested in telling my party we can sit at the bar or taking a number so we could be added to the wait list for a table. I had to return to the host stand to ask to be added, the host even took my number down wrong but luckily another host noticed and corrected the mistake. Whoever the girl was taking my information didn't seem interested in accommodating my party . BUT other than that it's a great place to chill and kinda turns into a night club around 11pm

Nice hotel bar for staying at theWit below. The view is pretty good but does not have water front views. It’s mostly inside with a small outdoor patio which also includes an observation telescope which was fun to use. The cheese plate was a rip off, the rest of the food was pretty good though and service was good. There are two bars, one in the lounge area that closes earlier and one in the main area by the dance floor. It can become congested at night because the dance floor separates the tables from the bar. They have dancers sometimes on the weekend. It’s a very highly lit “club” and not very private, which seemed to discourage people from dancing. They blast music and have cool visuals at night, but as far as club atmospheres go it’s just kind of average

Here’s my two cents on this place without any bias.

-If you’re looking for good food. Don’t come here.
-Great ambiance and very nice step up. No denying that.
    - Overall, nice place. But if you don’t tolerate disrespect don’t come here. As a manger at a high end restaurant, you should respect your guests and hear their perspective, epically when they request to speak with you about an issue with your staff.

I’ll be taking my business somewhere else in the future.

The Wit is awesome. It’s in a fabulous central location. There is no cooler rooftop bar than the Rooftop! Shout out to Dave at the front desk and Michael in State and Lake. You two were so accommodating you made our stay. Thanks to both!

Stayed at the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The gentleman who checked us in mentioned ROOF was open. Hostess informed us there were no tables, but bar was first come first serve. We said that wasn’t an option as our teenager couldn’t sit at bar. She shrugged cause it wasn’t her problem, so we went elsewhere.
On our last night, we decided to give it another try and made a reservation. We went around in circles as reservationist explained that they will note our preference and seat us outdoors if available. We were seated in small but lovely outside area with beautiful view. After a group who was seated nearby left, we noticed every table had a reserved sign. They attempted to seat one couple who asked to be moved inside because it was chilly and people (including a large group) had wandered out from the bar area and were not asked to move.
The overpriced drinks were tasty. My Rush sushi was acceptable. My husband had pizza which was delicious.
Waiter was adequate. The bus boy was very attentive.
We looked inside before leaving and it seems like a great vibe for singles to hang out with good music.

The food was okay, but the staff was very attentive and kept our glasses full. I personally prefer the food and view from Raised across the street.

We recently took guests to the Roof at theWit in Chicago. We had a nice evening with great music, drinks and food. Upon finishing our meal, the waitress apologized for handing our credit card over to another customer who already left the building. They suggested we cancel our card, apologized again and offered to purchase a round of drinks. That simply isn't acceptable. As guests in the hotel, we should have been accommodated differently for the inconvenience of having to cancel a card while traveling out of town.

First off my sister and I booked the hotel for the sole purpose of attending this nightclub for my sisters 23rd birthday. Buying MULTIPLE drinks for my sister and I in celebration of her birthday the bartender kept speaking under his tongue talking negative about us. (although I did tip him couple dollars per every few drinks) . Lastly as the night went on the price of 2 cranberry vodkas increased from $20 to $22 to $28.00 and I asked what the reason being and he made an excuse saying he assumed I just wanted the more expensive vodka when I've been drinking the same one all night. I realized the people next to me were also experiencing this HORRIBLE customer service. The same bartender with the sleeve tattoo kept slamming the bottles when making the drinks and using sarcasm when talking to the customers. Every other bartender was nice and happy to serve except him .

We ended up leaving to another club which is super upsetting as we booked this hotel ONLY for this venue. VERY UPSET. WILL NOT RETURN.

Good location with impressive views. Not very comfortable seating arrangements. Service was just okay. My drink was tasty, but on the pricey side. It was worth coming here for the view alone.

DONT GO THERE!!!It was the worst night ever. The people work at this place are racist disrespectful by all means. We been escorted out from the club just because the dance girls didn't like us STANDING there. I asked to talk to the manager to see why they are doing this and he was exactly the same like every one. Since we're from out of town, The Club bouncers didn't even let us go back to our rooms at the hotel down below. It was such a big mess.

This past Saturday I had my sisters Bachelorette party at the Wit. The service, the view, EVERYTHING was great except for the last bottle that we had, which was supposed to be a 400 dollar grey goose bottle, tasted exactly like tequila. We even had two random people taste it without telling them the liquor options and they said it tasted like tequila. It was too late to bring it to anyone's attention because it was half way done. Other than that experience everything was great, but don't like being scammed!

Wonderful rooftop bar with great service. They have a small, but amazing outdoor space with a handful of tables and a ledge to sit at. Feels great on an August night. Good night views!

Wide variety of drinks, but could have more, in my opinion. Limited food menu available after 11pm. Outdoor closes at midnight on Wednesday nights. Overall, a wonderful experience. Some people may find the place a bit small. The indoor area is dark and music is playing, which makes talking a bit difficult. Would go back and is recommended by me.

This is an upscale bar. If you are looking to dress up and enjoy a 20$ cocktail in fancy atmosphere this is the place to do it.
Not my cup of tea but it's nice

Had a great experience. The atmosphere and view was very nice. Our waitress Laura was very sweet and patient with my large party. The workers and manager even accommodated a spot for my family to sit much closer to one another. Everyone was friendly and professional, definitely had a good time at Roof on TheWitt

Zero stars. Our bill got messed up and we ended up being over charged $400+. Simple clerical fix, right? Initially they agreed and were responsive to get it resolved, but never refunded the money even after promising to do so via email. Repeated calls to get it corrected or find out why they have not refunded my money have gone unanswered.

Poorly managed rooftop space where you're forced to stand while countless of couches, tables and chairs are reserved. The music selection was absolutely atrocious with gangsta rap.

We are staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant. Terrible service, in a fancy setting. Amazing how a private party in the indoor space cuts the available food menu in half. 20 minutes later and still no appetizer. We had to flag down a server just to order. Our first time staying in this hotel. What a letdown. Update: 5 minutes later we receive our app and there is definitely a curly black hair in our tapas. Manager very quickly removed the charge and dropped a bill for our drinks. We decided to find a different place to find food.

Really cool bar located at the top of the Wit hotel. We attended in February so the doors were all closed but it is obvious this is a great place to drink on a warm summer evening with friends. The lighting is dim (and very purple) and the bartenders look good and serve great drinks. I was able to pare down one of my more favorite tastes and figure out what I would like to drink from now on. We were able to have good conversation with the patient bartender as we discussed different drink flavor and such.

Drinks are a bit pricey but it's a cool downtown rooftop bar.
