I have never stepped foot into an REI before in my life. That being said, there was a charge on my credit card from a STORE in CALIFORNIA that I did not make. Oh and heaven forbid we put in the CVV number on the back of the card reserved for this very issue. Now I called their credit card services department and spoke with a WONDERFUL employee named Devin. He was great and extremely helpful. However, due to their whatever, they are unable to refund MY credit card the transaction because someone in THEIR store typed in the credit card number wrong. Now I am out my credit card which is reserved for emergencies and am inconvenienced by having to call up my credit card company to tell them. That I have already contacted the retailer, the retailer assures me that it was not my purchase. Because I am sitting here in Washington state and the expiration date doesn't match nor does the address of the shipped purchase. I realize human error occurs. Maybe one should rethink the policy if someone can verify everything on your system is incorrect, that the person who has done nothing wrong shouldn't be punished for someone else's mistake. I will not be shopping with this company ever.

I have been a REI member for 8 years! I have been a die hard fan! I have seen the company change into a corporate giant. Everything that made REI great is gone! The rei promise is a lie. They don't honor the lifetime anymore and they don't do the one year anymore.
Go in find what you want and buy it cheaper online! If the rei promise is gone then there is no value to the REI brand. If you want good gear check out six moon designs, zpacks, Dutch wear gear, and Amazon. Rei has lost my business forever! The product I have is covered through the company that made it. Thx for nothing rei you lost a great customer and have overcharged me for years. The one time I ask you to warranty something you say no!

Fantastic food in the cafeteria and even better employees! The facilities offer a nice place for employees to bring their dogs and have them run around outside - huge plus in my book!
