I love going to see the elk that roam the forests around here. I take pictures of trees, plants, and animals in this area a lot! I love the fact that I only live 20 minutes away from these beautiful creatures.

Definitely a wild area. Deer, elk, rattlesnakes and plenty of woods.

Some of the best maintained and marked hiking trails I have ever been on. Rugged ,desolate, beautiful country.

Rhododendron, mountain stream, ferns and no cell service Truly an oasis smack dab in the middle of paradise.

Beautiful country side, however the deer population is very high here and there is at best spotty cellphone reception. Drive safely and be on alert for deer crossing the road.

It's a beautiful area to explore. Waterfalls, ponds, elk, bears, forests. So much to see. Just be aware, there's no cell service, and actual bathroom facilities are rare.

Lots of great hiking and backpacking. Lots of great spring water. Amazing meadows. Lots of gravel roads to pedals on. So much land to sneak off into for primitive camping. The night skies are super dark.
