Under construction, unfinished, unfriendly staff. Not relaxing or worth the amount charged. I'm reluctant in giving them another chance.
The staff is really good and always friendly. But this week there has been major renovation on 2 floors. There's noise and debris pretty much everywhere.
Decent hotel, that I'd probably give 2 stars. Only 1 elevator at the far end of the hotel. Currently renovating rooms. We got a newer room which had some nice finishes. Still a few things could be improved. The faucet is loose. The carpets are in bad shape still.. maybe part of later renovations? Beds are comfortable and everything seems clean. Like the indoor pool and hot tub option. Breakfast is the same every day, but has a good set of options. No fresh fruit, and lots of carb heavy options. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, cereals, etc.
This is our third stay at this particular hotel and our first time to be disappointed. The room was clean and spacious. Our only complaint about the room is that the bathroom shower handle was broken. The water was either cold or scorching hot. There really wasn't an inbetween.
Upon checking in we were told that breakfast would begin at 6:00. When we arrived at 6:20, it was not ready. We were on a time schedule, so we didn't stay to wait for items to be done or juice dispensers to be filled. This was our most disappointing stay at a hotel in a long time.
Indoor pool. Great breakfast. Clean. Very nice. Close to Highway for convenience. Very quiet. Will stay again. 30 dollars cheaper than another one that's close. Can't beat that!
We chose this hotel because it was one of the closest to the wedding venue, which was still 15 minutes away. During the bride's initial inquiry for a wedding block she was quoted rooms at $89. When she called again to reserve the room block, she was quoted $139 because it was a race weekend in Kansas City. This was a major difference and she had already told her guests that needed rooms that it would be $89.
At check in, the clerk was quite rude towards my husband when he asked if we could check in early. The clerk let us up to our room, but housekeeping was still in the middle of flipping it. The housekeeping staff was very polite. They finished our room quickly and apologized for the inconvenience, which was not their fault.
The worst part overall of the visit was that the room smelled overwhelmingly of mold. We had the room all the way at the end of the hall on the second floor. Maybe they don't use the end rooms as often, but this room was severely unappealing. The mold is in the air conditioner, but it was warm in the room also, so we didn't have a choice but to run it. My parents were in the room two doors down from us and their room did not smell at all. Several of my family members said that their rooms did not smell either. Must have just been our room.
I will give the hotel credit in saying that the breakfast was good. Not a huge selection, but it was fresh and had variety.
Bottom line - I would have expected this type of hotel for $89. Not for $139.
The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was the BEST EVER. We were in 203 and at 2:30 am there must have been 300 lb. Samurai in room above us. Stomping around and vomiting, which we heard. Not very pleasant. The young man at desk when we first arrived had a great personality and was very helpful. Thanks for a nice stay.
This hotel is a joke! Management is rude inconsiderate and flat out unprofessional. The employees are great but management needs a reality check. They lie about pricing they try to bamboozle their customers into paying more any way that they can and I feel corporate needs to get involved because it doesn't sound like quality inns rules it sounds like a manager is small gahonas trying to act big and tough. I would never recommend staying at this location and or refer any body trying to have a wedding party block off there.
Our entire team stayed here for a week over the summer for a big softball tournament. We had a great stay! The rooms are very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and since the hotel was being remodeled, it was very clean!
Breakfast each morning was hot and delicious, they have a pancake maker as well as a waffle maker, and even though the hotel was sold out and had two softball teams staying there, they never ran out of food!
Terry, the manager, was awesome, and all of the staff was very nice and personable!
My one and only complaint would be that the pool is indoors, which would be great in the winter, but was entirely too hot in the summernot at all refreshing after a day at the ballfield!
We would definitely stay here again if in the area!
Our initial room was hot when we arrived and smelled of mildew. We turned the A/C on high and it didn't seem to be very cold but, we assumed it would kick in at some point. We left the room and upon returning several hours later found it to be just as hot, or more so, than when we had left.
We attempted to just deal with it as we were only staying the one night but the temperature soon became unbearable. My wife attempted to call the front desk twice and there was no answer so, I went to the front desk in person. When I informed the clerk of the situation he said that the issue had been reported the day prior to our arrival and he was confused as to why it hadn't been fixed. My concern was with the fact that we had been placed in a room with a known problem and charged full price!
The clerk was apologetic and immediately gave us a different room. Upon opening the door to this room it smelled of mildew so bad that we considered just going to another hotel but, since it was already after midnight and we were tired, we just put up with it.
We have stayed at many different Choice Motel locations over the years but, we have never had such a horrible experience. We are not very likely to continue using your brand because of this one stay
Over priced at a group rate of $129 for the quality! Price should be under $100 bathrooms are updated and clean and bed is comfy. but . Got an instant after headache after 5 minutes. Room has a mold smell. Found what appears to be mold around air on wall. A worker walked in as I was napping and plugged in a dehumidifier for some reason? Maybe they know of the problem? Do not stay if you have an allergy or lil one with asthma.
the breakfast has a good selection of food. although the hot could be hotter. there is a pool but it is only 4ft deep. rooms are a decent size.
clean rooms and a reasonable price. the downside is that there's no food retail in short walling distance. it's not a deal breaker for a good room but it is a minor annoyance.
The workers are amazingly friendly and strive to provide. With that being said, it looks as if they are doing a lil freshening up on their paint. Some paint supplies near pool area n certain spots on the wall look like they are getting ready to paint n need it. Lol Good breakfast choices-extended hours to 10 n 9 even! Room smelled musty n carpet in general throughout too. Beds are hard as a rock. Linens n bathroom were fresh n clean though. Large mini fridge n microwave in room. Pool area is small, but clean and towels are kept stocked. Even an area out back (accessible through pool area as well) to lay out, throw the frisbee, or let the kids run around. Perfect location, right near Target, Home Depot, gas station, food spots, n just off highway but not too close that it's loud-nice n tucked back there. Great deal for price, kid friendly but they seemed to keep families on one end thankfully for the non kid or business customersClever.
Horrible experience. Hotel had bugs (not bed bugs). Lacking a continental breakfast bar only had sausage and gravy. Wont be coming back here.
