It's a beautiful park but they are way to picky for me. They don't cut the grass at the sites which can be a pain and the second car parking is nowhere near the campsites you have to drive 2 cars to leave one there or walk over a mile to get to the site. I am really not impressed

Beautiful lake and hiking trails and a simply wonderful campground! Great place to spend a long weekend with the family!

Boat rental very inexpensive! Had a great afternoon. The lake was big enough and wasn't crowded so cruising around on a pontoon boat was easy.

We spent a weekend there recently. A well ordered campground. It was full when we were there but it felt comfortable. Bath houses were constantly maintained. A great place to spend outdoors!!

I've been going there for the last 15 yrs. Its great for family and friends visiting while your there. Fishing, boating and camping is all great. We try and make it a family outing. We all gather to get her to eat at least one or two meals a day. Very relaxing even in the rain.

    Excellent Family Picnic/Camping!

I just think that they pack people in the campground too tightly

Sites around lake are great. Bike trail, ampitheather is large. Next trip I may get a cabin on the lake, great locations.

Great park for boating and fishing. The modern cabins are very nice. But you need to bring all of your own stuff if you rent a cabin (sheets, towels, cookware, etc.). Some good trails that aren't difficult but still offer a lot of fresh clean mountain air. The "back pack" program for kids is really good too. If you do have an issue with one of the cabins the parks staff and maintenance crews are very responsive and friendly.

I always rent kayaks, it is a great lake and surrounding area. The renting campgrounds are well maintained and pretty good price wise. They also have more secluded cabins for long term rent as well. The price for the boats/kayak/canoe is great and the staff are very nice. Love going out to the ice cream place Noels (pronounced Knoels for the non-locals) for tons of delicious flavors and options!
