Their Financial Aid department is a joke; I made a financial decision based on the advice received from their department and a year later they're charging me over $800 and refusing to give me the credits I earned. When I brought up the issue with the school they told me that the information I was given was wrong but it isn't their problem, and that if I wanted to move forward in appealing the charges I'd have to PAY THEM MORE MONEY just to look at my appeal, and even then there was "no guarantees" . The school just wants your money and it's a real shame.

Prairie state is easily one of the best community colleges in the area. Great work place, awesome teachers and very useful staff as well! Get a great education for a very low cost.

As others have stated, PSC is a wonderful 2 year college, but it depends on what you make of it. The faculty and professors are helpful and full of resources.

Prairie State is a hidden gem in the south suburbs. Your education is what you make of it and I'm glad to say I've made the most out of my community college education. Being involved in club activities and taking full advantage of the resources available at Prairie State make for a unique and enjoyable experience.
