Constructed in the early 1900s, and funded by $5,500.00 granted by Scottish-American philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie, Poseyville Carnegie Public Library was the smallest Carnegie library built.
In 2000, the addition of the Children's Library doubled the original size of its overall space. However, the original historical structure remains much the same as it did when initially constructed.
