  We have been several times and have never been disappointed. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. The calamari was crispy and tender served hot and well plated. The hummus appetizer was delicious and served with several creative condiments. My husband's burger was cooked exactly as he ordered. The ciappino was to die for, loaded with seafood in a wonderful broth flavored with wine and tomatoes. Rumor has is that next month's featured location is Baltimore!

  AWFUL! The atmosphere was nice upon entering the restaurant. However, once we were seated we noticed that our table was broken - so when I set my drink down in front of me it would slide down in front of my husband. I should have taken this as a sign. The food was terrible and our service was even worse. We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees and everything can be described at best as bland. There was nothing that made this food special or even appetizing. If we had seen our waitress more than twice in the evening (once when she took our order and next when she brought our check) we could have voiced these concerns and hopefully ordered something more suitable for humans to eat. We did not receive refills therefore, we had no drinks with our dinner. Our plates were brought to us by someone else and our table was cleared by someone else. I had to ask the hostess to go find our waitress to finally bring us our check after we finished dinner and had been sitting for over 10 minutes with no sign of her at all. I think she forgot about us - it was pathetic. I have never had such a horrible restaurant experience and have never felt compelled to write a review, but I was so unhappy with our experience, I needed to vent. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking of trying Popkin's. I can honestly say I will never eat there again.

  site says open til 2am on mondays, took my girlfriend there for her 21st at midnight and low and behold, they were closed

  Not a dimly lit bar but an open restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere where you can also go for happy hour after work. food is not over priced and has been great every time I've eaten there (so far). Very cool layout too! (FYI - I'm not normally one to give 5 stars unless they deserve it)

  Great place to eat lunch during work week. Nice atmosphere with massive windows providing street level views of Richmond. I've had the fish & chips, hamburgers and quite a few of their pizzas...all good.
