Located in good spot near town, rustic style motel, rooms are not big but comfortable and reasonably well appointed. Good wifi, no breakfast. Good value for money as way cheaper than other similar accommodation in Jackson Hole

You get what you pay for. Nice front desk very attentantive. Clean room. No bugs. BUT had to tolerate cigarette smoke from other guests and pot on special occasions ;-) Thin walls and connecting doors so you're not alone ;-(

I actually rate this a zero star. Rude ass owner. I cancelled my room within just a day or two of booking. He was insistent on keeping the $40 cancellation fee. Fine keep it! I am so disgusted at how he spoke to me. He spat off the cost to run his hotel and he will keep the $40 to bad so sad. Not a real quality way to run a business. Zero respect. It's not hard to be kind to people, even if they cancel a reservation.

We stayed at the Pony Express Motel at the beginning of our trip from Jackson to the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. We stayed in the two bedroom condo which was clean and very comfortable for our family of five. We only stayed for one night so we did not use the kitchen but it was well equipped. Very close to local attractions and a short drive to Grand Tetons. Owners Clint and Kristi and their staff were friendly and accommodating. If I go back to Jackson, I will stay there again.

Fantastic! The room was spacious, the bed was roomy & comfortable..the sheets & comforter were cozy, clean & made every day! I felt like I was in my own apartment ~ I couldn't have been happier. The staff made us feel right at home ~ My daughter & I didn't want to leave!

I'm not sure what the expectations are of people reviewing this place but I have zero clue how it gets anything more than 1 star. The room reeks of smoke, deadbolt doesn't work, bathroom area is tiny, you feel like you're going to fall through the floor. If you are looking for a motel and you don't care about any of these things, this is the place for you. Otherwise, move along, this place is a holeno pun intended.

Update, 1 hour into our stay, the AC unit stopped working. Nice.

We stayed in at the Pony Express Motel and had an amazing experience. Clint was super fantastic, from the moment we checked in until we returned our key! We stayed in a condo that was fully stocked with kitchen supplies and a full sized fridge, not to mention the unit was spotless. The decor was spot on with the Jackson vibe. Very welcoming. We will absolutely be staying here when we come back and have already recommended friends! Side note - Google lists the pool as heated, which it may be, but is not during the winter months. Looks very much like an ice skating rink! Clint was very accommodating - he found us a great location to hot tub regardless! We left very happy.

I stayed here over the summer and just loved it! The rooms were super clean and decorated adorably! The friendliness of the staff really blew me away though! Very happy and kind folks own the motel they certainly have a cute little place there that they can be proud of!

Stayed here one night before heading up to Yellowstone. Cool place near the western edge of town. Super friendly and super cute girl working the front desk. Room had a fridge and mini coffee pot. While the motel is not within (short) walking distance to the town center, there is a free city-run shuttle bus that runs every half hour or so that made it easy enough to get downtown and back. The motel is, however, right across the street from a grocery store and a liquor store - so it gets a star back for that!

The hotel is older in appearance and furnishings. The rooms were comfortable. We stayed in the "King family suite". There was a queen bed and two bunk beds. The bed was comfortable but definately not a king. The room contained an outer bathroom with sink and mirror and inner bathroom with stool and tub/shower. The inner bathroom was sufficient but VERY small. The room came with a dorm size refrigerator/freezer combo and microwave. The room met our needs and was clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was no breakfast provided. On the plus side if you raft with Barker they are located an easy walk from the hotel. All in all the hotel was basic with no frills but was comfortable and clean.

The service was exceptional. When we checked in, a guy went to double check the room to make sure it was okay. Then we received a quick tour of the room. They even gave us free root beer! We will be staying here again.

We stayed at the Pony Express in early May, 2016. The hotel is older but the rooms are bigger than I expected. There was a nice queen sized bed with a great mattress and pillows, and a bunk bed for my daughter. We travel a lot and we look for good value, and the Pony Express is a great value. We were within walking distance of great places to eat and a grocery store, which we utilized for breakfast food. It is approximately 1.5 miles from downtown Jackson. What sets this hotel apart from others was the very friendly service and the wonderful extras. There is a real coffee pot! We bought coffee to brew every morning. There is wonderful bathroom supplies. The bath towels were nice! We had a need and Kristi was at our room within 5 minutes to take care of our need. We will be staying here again.
