  This place got their butts in gear! The place now has better tasting food, cleaner place and all.
  The only thing I don't like is the dried out meat for the tacos. It's beyond dry.
  They gave us a Christmas card! So kind of them!!

  I've never actually ordered from here because i will never go back. The first time i tried going i stood at the entrance for 10 minutes and waited to get seated but nobody stopped by so i left and went to QQ up the street. The second time i went i payed around $35 all together for low quality food, huge lack of variety, and terrible service. I don't know if every ponderosa is like this but stay away from the one in olean.

  I love their omelette, French toast and pancake station on Sundays. The staff is awlays so friendly and helpful.

  We used to go to our local Ponderosa quite a bit. The price was good and the food was decent. We went in today and the prices were raised by a lot. The food quality went down. For the price we paid, we could have gone to a better restaurant and had better food. The steak was like show leather and the salmon was extremely dry. I don't expect 5 star dining from a chain steakhouse, but this was beyond bad. The waitress was great though so I went with two stars.

  Horrific food for an outrageous price. They want to charge like a real restaurant like Applebee's then they need real food not everything bought from save a lot and all the food is instant. Like instant gravy and instant mash potatoes, then I go get desert on top of an already terrible visit and I see a customer get served a pure raw burger, that literally looked like they chopped the cows legs off and served it to him. By the wat the popcorn shrimp was so hard u could hear people's teeth breaking. And my wife's turkey was pink like it wasn't cooked all the way. You guys are lucky that a nice little old man got that bloody burger and was nice about it.

  It's a chain steakhouse. The buffet is ok, nothing fancy, the steaks are "seasoned" in such a way to tenderize them. It is fairly cheep so if you like to eat a lot, this is your place..

  Lovely atmosphere and great food. The only problem was the bathrooms, there was a very strong odor that seemed like sewage. Please clean the bathroom!

  FANTASTIC service and excellent food. Buffet items were hot and fresh. Menu items were served in a timely manner and were well presented.

  Food has gotten better and better with the buffett not tasting water downed. Entrees are hot, cooked as desired.

  Some of the worst tasting food I have ever ate. Hardly anything on the bar for the outrageous amount they charge to eat off it. I would advise on not eating here ever and save your taste buds. The upside is that a few blocks up the street is QQ Buffet and the food there is amazing. Low price and shrimp is ALWAYS on the bar.

  First, now a days it is difficult to find a buffett, let alone one as good as this one. Second, many of the Ponderosas' I used to go to have closed, mostly because of how poor service they were. That is not the case here. It is good food, good service, good price.
