We took name brand never even worn clothes with tags on them that we bought awhile back and couldn't wear now. They gave us $8. Nike, Adidas to name a few. We cleaned out our closet and divided between goodwill and sell. We wish we had just given it all to goodwill. What a joke. And they claim they donate whatever they don't use to charity but I can promise you they sold every bit of it. This is how they make their money. Pathetic.

I prefer this store because it clean, and well priced. I always find something and am never disappointed when shopping. The owner is dedicated to customer service and employee’s as long as I’ve been there and always quality merch for re-sale.

I drove almost an hour with a tub of very nice, current style junior's clothing. They spent about 30 seconds "looking through" my items. Most things were untouched. They bought NOTHING and claimed they were not brands they sell. If they had actually looked at my items, they would have seen that I had many popular brands. Disappointed!

I love this store! It's gotten a lot bigger since they've expanded and it's less crowded, which is a huge plus. They have a really great selection and almost everything I own is from there! I've never had any problems with their staff and their managers always make sure I leave happy. Great job!

I love this place because of cheap braces, I do not live the place because of the fact that when you try and take stuff into cell they tell you that it's out of style or not in great condition, but a lot of the things on the shelves look like they're from the 1990s and they have aged quite a bit. Anything I've ever brought there has been sold, and I have also seen them on the shelves for more than double the price that they gave me for the product. This is my only problem with this shopping store but it doesn't really make sense to tell someone that things aren't in season when they're selling things that are from 8 seasons ago. The stuff are high schoolers that act like they know fashion and I have brought in several high-end products clothing-wise and they weren't even aware of what they were, I brought in a $200 pair of jeans and they said that it wasn't a brand that they would buy because it wasn't name brand. Education on style and education on what is in style needs to be taught to these kids before they are hired.

Alot to choose from. A long
wait to get your clothes examined, they took very few of ours. We probably aren't as hip as they wanted

Plato's is clearly my favorite store. It is easy to discern how Lexington is an affluent town because of the clothes its residents are willing to part with. I am always pleased with the selection of amazing brands, and I very often receive compliments for an outfit I put together from Plato's.

    I love Platos closet.
I just wish they had a more variety of Pink clothes. I love Pink.
Have a lot of sales. One thing on my mind is that I wish they would buy more than they do when u go in there with bags of clothes. I had 3/4 bags a lot of name brand and shoes as well. Only bought a few items. Other than that. Platos closet is great!!!!!

First off I do not nor have I ever worked there. So I'm not giving a good review to make myself look better. That being said, I love this place. Prices are great and clothes look completely brand new. I do sell my clothes there sometimes bit usually they go to good will. You shouldn't listen to the other reviews that are bad because they didn't take the clothes they wanted to sell so now their mad about it. You know going in they won't take all of your clothes. But it is a great place to get good prices. As far as employees attitudes they're ok. It's retail. Most retail employees don't actually care. We're actually paid to be fake nice. So that's kinda normal. So, go check it out for yourself and make up your own decision. It's a decent place and I do enjoy it.

It was an hour and a half wait to find out how much they would offer me for my stuff. When I called after the order was ready the little girl said she couldn't tell me how much I was going to get before driving there? Don't bother with these teens that don't want to do extra work.

Don't care for new location in same shopping center. It's in the corner and impossible to find a parking space. The old and new stores smell like a football locker room after a game. The smell of sweat and dirt float the air as these used clothes are put on the racks with uncertainty if they have even been washed. Picked up a pair of jeans that reeked of cigarette smoke. Staff is 16 year olds that are irresponsible and rude. I wouldn't buy from them if they were giving money away.

The service and selection is mediocre compared to all others I've been to. Usually one of my favorite stores to shop at.

I love platos closet. The items are reasonably priced, the store is extremely easy to navigate and it's always nice to get some cash for your clothes.

Great quality of used clothes at a even better price, if you're willing to by user clothes that is.

Do not shop! Saw a review on Google once from a disgruntled ex employee stating the owner treated his staff badly. Blew it off at the time, but today, I witnessed him berating his girls. As a manager myself, I could not believe he felt it was okay to treat people that way. I used to love this store since it has lightly used name brand clothes I could wear. I'm never going back. His employees are miserable. He's the best example of management gone bad. I hope he loses business over that.

They have good sales but the regular prices are comparable to what you'd find if you shopped the sale rack at the mall. There is so much merchandise, it is overwhelming to look through. The reason for 2 stars is really that the prices aren't that great for used clothing.
