Nice, quiet and convenient place to stay if you planning fishing trip next early morning.

Everyone is very friendly and leaves you alone so you can enjoy your life the way you want. Old school, smoker friendly, and 1980's clean. If modern is what you like then look elsewhere if you are super clean or scared of germs then again this would probably leave you disappointed.. A great old school fisherman's dream get away.

The Pink Motel is Old Florida! I'm so excited that I'm going back to stay there this week. It makes you run away from reality. Shag carpets are my favorite.

I would never stay there again. The least of the problems is the proprietor. The place was dirty, the bathroom and the kitchen utensils. The owner wants everyone who stays there to wash their own dishes but she doesn't check to insure they are clean-ours were not. There was mold in the shower and the shower head hit me in the chest! I had to bend over to get wet. The airc onditioning was a small unit that ran continously and put out lukewarm air. I had to remove and wash the filters myself.
You can get a nice hotel in Marco just a few miles away or back in Everglade City for the same price. This place is a bad deal!

Either the manager was replaced by a nicer person, or she's sober now, but the manager that took care of me this past month was friendly, smiling and accommodating. The TV in my unit stopped working, I told her around noon the next day and then went out, before I was back at 4pm the TV was replaced with a brand new one. The rooms were old but well equipped for my purposes, with a full refrigerator and four burner gas stove, microwave and toaster (the toaster could probably be replaced with a newer one, but sufficient). The street lights shone through the flimsy curtains, but with an additional blanket over the brightest window, the room was dark and comfortable. When I stepped out of my door I was greeted with a water-view on three sides of the motel, it is right at the end of Pear Tree Drive and E. Ct. There is a dock and seawall on the canal in the back. The single beds were small, she holds onto the one king sized bed for couples (understandable), but the rooms were outfitted with a table that could seat four, a loveseat and recliner chair as well as a desk. If you're a fisherman looking for great access to the backcountry waters or need an inexpensive place to stay to access Marco Island, this place is an inexpensive base camp worth taking a look at.
My only two complaints were that I couldn't get late check out, 11am was firm, and we couldn't book a full month in the off season, mostly, we're told, because it is hard for housecleaning to keep up or clean up after a full month of use.
