I’ll be honest with you, this is my first year in Pine View and it is one of the best schools I’ve ever attended and I’ve attended three schools in the Sarasota County district. I really didn’t want to leave my old school but my parents forced me and I’m glad they did. It was very hard at first because I came from a school that had little to no work, while pine view is known for their hard work. The first week was very stressful but somehow I got threw it. Each day honestly kept getting better. I have to mention that the teachers are absolutely fantastic in my opinion. If you’re going to attend pine view I know you won’t regret you’re decision. Yes, it’s more work but I guarantee you it’ll all pay of in collage.

Pretty good school. I like it, although a lot of people claim that it puts unnecessary stress on students. This is most likely true, but if you cant handle the heat, then stay out of the kitchen.

While the teaching is unparalleled, many of the other aspects of this award winning school are lacking. The campus is full of over 60 "portables" which are essentially glorified trailers due to the lack of campus development and planning. Buildings are strewn about in no ideal order with no centralized design concept, with the library being a circular building but a large kindergarden-like canopy dwarfing the miniature commons. The renovations are slow to come with older buildings being prioritized, when a new building to house the middle or high schoolers is obviously needed to get rid of the lacking portables which show up with rat infestations and mold (while the rats are not exclusive to them as they live in the roofs of the rest of the buildings).

Many people think of boredom, stress, and overloads of homework when they think " Pine View" I am a proud pine view student and find it to work perfectly for me. teachers are so helpful in preparing you for the future. the activities there are amazing. the diversity unbelievable. homework is not a problem if you aren't a slacker. in the end, I have never been so proud to be a middle schooler at such a great school. the world is changing, and pine view will prepare our generation to do what's right. so when I think of pine view, I think of Excellence.

Pine View is a good school but if you cannot handle a lot of HW don't go there, there is quite a lot of it. Also they will let you carry around a chessboard on a daily basis and you don't even get that many weird looks after a while. Pine View is great

I hate how people are saying that Pine View is too hard or too stressful. The homework and classwork may be challenging, but it pushes people to have better work habits and it prepares you for the future. Guess what? Life's hard. If you can't handle that, Pine View isn't for you.

Hello , I am in my 4th year of attending Pine View and it is great! The staff are very friendly and are into developing the school and helping the students! We have very fun special courses including different languages and ballroom dancing. The school implements social skills too , and encourages good study habits , and being the best you can be sharing your talent with the world. It also has added subjects from average schools , and has a rich gifted learning environment.
