Awesome little place. I love it when a menu only has five or six offerings. The double cheeseburger is so tasty - aioli, arugula, tomato jam, and it’s the right size. Nice homemade chips too. Order at the window and it comes out in ~10 minutes. Cool location in an industrial area.
This is a food truck not a restaurant. The sandwiches were delicious. I thought the potato chips were too salty but the meatloaf patty melt was phenomenal.
Delicious. Made with local meats from The Local Pig, the butcher shop this sandwich shop is attached to. If you want to know where your burger's beef is from, head inside and check out the chalk boards. They'll have it listed. If you love the meat you can also buy anything your heart desires inside the shop! The bacon is to die for. I've never gotten a bad thing on their menu at Pigwich and they even have a rotating item depending on the day. I really enjoyed the Blue Cheese Beet Down Burger. And of course the famous Pigwich itself.
My husband has loved every sandwich he’s gotten here. I don’t eat meat, but they have one of the best veggie burgers in KC. The homemade chips are also delicious.
I could eat this bahn mi every day. The butcher shop had awesome products, and the staff treated us like family. Hell yes, Pigwich.
Delicious sandwiches and homemade chips. Can't go wrong here but the burgers probably my favorite.
Great food great people Quality Meat and they stand on it I gave them out of 10 Stars 100 great
Great burgers, a clean building, friendly and helpful staff make it worth the out of the way location. Be sure to try their namesake sandwich the "pigwich". The best I've had in a while!
Such a great little place! Really delicious food and a nice atmosphere. Another favorite to add to the list ;)
Great food and service and from a train car! Very cool...try the Pigwich. You won't regret it!
Great sandwiches at a great price. Any time I am near KC I will go out of my way to eat here.
If you haven't been to this local gem... it's a must. Everything on the menu is aWeSoMe. You can get locally farm raised and processed meats at the Local Pig. And get some soap or smell goods at the Urban Provisions.
Pigwich itself is amazing, the local food is very well crafted and tasty. The price is also very good and you feel like you get your money's worth. It is nearly impossible to get to however with the constant trains that stop and the awful surrounding roads. Part of being in an industrial area I suppose. Sometimes it does not feel worth the effort but the food is very good.
Very unassuming looking place, with some of the best sandwiches you'll ever have! We like to go here any Wednesday we can for their namesake, the Pigwich (it's a Wednesday special). Pigwich is the food truck child of The Local Pig, the butcher/charcuterie they are attached to--so it's nice to have lunch at the picnic tables, then go inside and pick up some meat for home.
Forget Kansas City BBQ... make Pigwich your must stop lunch if you are in town. It is well worth the drive to Northeast Kansas City. Order the Bahn Mi... it will change your life. Then step inside to take a look around Local Pig (the gourmet butcher shop on whose property Pigwich sits) while you wait for them to call your order out. I shared a counter with a couple of locals who swear by the place, and I totally understand why. Everything about Local Pig and Pigwich is Quality with a capital Q. There is a short list of restaurants that I dream about returning to... Pigwich is one of them.
