I offer personal, affordable design services paired with twelve years experience with their real-world and virtual applications.
I graduated from Reed College, Portland, OR, in 1996, with a B.A. in Studio Art. My academic focus and creative passion for oil painting led me to pursue work with mural painting and historic restoration after college. I had the amazing opportunity to be one of a handful of artisans to gold leaf the dome of San Francisco’s City Hall in 1998 and to restore the Spanish Baroque trompe l’oeil ceiling of St. Peter’s Church in San Francisco’s Mission District a year later. Decorative painting led me to sign painting, and I started working with computer graphics in 2003, as a novice in a sign shop in New Orleans.
Hurricane Katrina brought me to Colorado Springs in 2005 and a new place to explore graphic design: the promotional products industry. I had nine years training in how a logo lives and works in the world of commerce--on billboards, on keychains, on trifold brochures, on-line. A design that may look spiffy on paper won't alway translate to a screen or a sign or a coffee mug. Even if you don't know where your brand may travel, I can help make sure it works on any platform. Contact me today to see how I can help bring your vision into the world.
