The Cathedral is the seat of the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in the United States. It is home to the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia (eparchy is like a diocese within the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church).
In addition to the Cathedral, the grounds are home to the Cathedral Hall (where Sunday Kitchen and Pierogies sales are key fund raising activities), The Treasury of Faith Museum and Byzantine Church Supplies both located in the former Cathedral School. The former SSMI convent is home to the Bishop Sotor Ortyntsky Spirituality Center. The Missionary Sisters of Mother of God (MSMG) convent is located at the corner of Franklin and Brown Sts. The Cathedral Rectory and Archeparchy Chancery are located across Franklin St from the Cathedral. Other Ukrainian institutions in the area are the headquarters of Providence Association and the Ukrainian Club on Franklin St (both of which have Facebook pages).
