I have eaten here in past and love it. The ambiance is very nice. My waiter Charles was superb and hab me covered always. Never had to ask for anything. Food was superb.

Good food, nice wine list, VERY attentive staff. Ate here Monday night before leaving town the next day. I had the pistachio crusted chicken breast with an Orange Dijon sauce and really enjoyed it. I had it with seasonal vegetables and a baked potato but the do have some other choices you can choose for sides. The staff was really good about coming by frequently to see if we were ok, filled our water glasses, our waitress always had the pepper mill in hand when our food was brought out. I was really impressed with the level of service we received and will definitely come back on our next trip to Big Bear Lake.

One of 3 best restaurants in town. Service was good but food was very mediocre for the price. Our New York steak had so much gristle it felt like we only got half our steak. My porter house was okay. The vegetable sides could have used more seasoning. We had also gotten a chicken Alfredo. It was okay, the chicken was on the dryer side.

This is my go to place in BBL from the UK and the latest visit was my fourth in 7 years. So happy that the standards have remained high. Thank God I booked as really busy this Saturday night but we were still seated in a booth a few minutes early. It is a little pricey but it is a resort I guess, I had the Surf & Turf and the lobster was great but the steak was..and I don't say this lightly.. up there with the very best I have ever eaten. Love this place :-)

By far one of my favorite restaurants in Socal. The service is exceptional and the food is delicious. If they have anything artichoke-related, get it. It has not disappointed me or my girlfriend (who doesn't like artichokes). The spinach ravioli is phenomenal (coming from someone who loves meat and is not a huge fan of spinach).
Our waitress was super nice and was diligent on checking in when we needed. It's become a yearly tradition for us.
Just know that on a weekend if you don't make reservations the wait time for 2 or 3 is typically 1 to 2 hours, so make reservations!response / report this review -

The food and the service were both outstanding. Even the iced tea was delicious which is unusual for most places and my glass was continually filled. I will definitely be back.

From the moment we call to try to get a reservation the service level was exceptional. Our server was definitely professional-grade and knew the menu very well. We had the ribeye which was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. The scallop and shrimp pasta was good with the pasta was overcooked. We will definitely come here again next time we are in Big Bear.

Expensive but worth the price. Service is as you would expect for the price, very good. Fancy stuff. Take your significant other out here on date night If you get a reservation. Definitely get here early or make reservations. It's always a long wait in the evenings.

We had a very nice evening at Peppercorn. It did take some time to get seated, even with reservations. They have a reasonable wine selection and my wife and I each made a by the glass selection. We were first served bread and butter, and given time to make our selections. Having had appetizers at our hotel, we went right for the main course. I had a small filet, and we both had lobster tails. Everything was fantastic. My steak came at the temp I ordered and it was very high quality maybe a tad too much garlic.. the lobster was also prepared just right and the portion size was proper. I would come back for sure. Do make a reservation, as the place seems to get full pretty quick.

Upscale atmosphere and food without the high prices. Very quiet compared to the bars. Staff was very professional and polite. Great selection of food. The salads and sweet potato fries were great. The burger was great and cooked perfectly, but beware the onions are potent.

Food looked and tasted like it was microwaved and for the over price dishes it should of been amazing. Tv dinners taste better.The flowers in the middle of the table was in our way it fell and water fell on us. The candle was pointless didn't light up the mood or the table in a romantic or and friendly confersation way. It was just in our way also it was so dim we forgot it was there till we put our arm over it to grab the salt or pepper and felt the heat. We blew in out and moved it away along with the flowers. service was really great the young man that served us was on top of everything not once do we blame food on a server.

We came for dinner, the waitress was very friendly, for starters we had cream of chicken soup with mushrooms and a twist of curry which was splendid.
For main course I ordered a rib eye steak which was not more than ok the baked potato was over done , my wife had Lasagna and it seems that the chef was trying to make something special but it was overdone with too much cheese that was immersed watery sauce.
The point is that, the Lasagna dish was hardly touched but the waitress did not even ask what was wrong!
While going out the hostess asked if we enjoyed dinner, explaining about the Lasagna she offered a discount for the next time.
This is a pity as the restaurant is very nice with nice atmosphere.response / report this review
