I was worried about showing up after 12pm, but I didn't have to wait at all to renew my license even though it was packed! I was in and out within 15 minutes! Definitely recommend, fastest DMV I've ever been to!

OK, but our airports need a little more positive attention. Compared to other states, our airports seem neglected. Otherwise, keep up the good work - overall positive.

Just another example of this ever growing "totalitarian state" that we seem to be finding ourselves in. Its not like there weren't many great thinkers warning of this; Orwell, Huxley, Wells, etc. You see this is the outcome of letting any one entity, in this case the government, take complete control over a system. You get a "one size fits all" form of monopoly because there is no competition. This is even worse in the case of Penn Dot because it is suppose to be the authority. In the free market not only does the quality of product go up, but the prices go down. Not only this, but it also breeds innovation. There are better more efficient ways of handling paperwork, There doesn't have to be no parking, you shouldn't have to wait on the phone for 15 minuets and then sometimes they hang up and you want to beat somebody, You shouldn't have to ask very specific question to get all of the pertinent information about YOUR records, You shouldn't have to mail information to and from Penn Dot like its 1945, you shouldn't have to navigate a complicated system that obviously designed to overwhelm, confuse, and take money from people that are desperately trying to get out of its sticky web. To be fair we cant even blame the employees, I mean I do wish they had a stitch of integrity and would rise up and say enough with the bureaucracy. Though I fear this coming from further up the "food chain" and they ave been stripped of any power within the organization. there are arbitrary list of responsibilities and that's it. Just like a overbearing union there is an establishment of a "Class System" This is why encroachment of power limits innovation and we end up with "Standard". We the people still have the power to say enough, they have been left in charge and its a disaster like everything else the government does. The post office has literally never made money since its beginnings and yet fed-ex and UPS have been doing it for years. When can the people take control of the information?

What, are they reviewing themselves? There was no parking, which the security guard directing traffic refused to believe when he demanded we all drive through the full parking lot over and over. I had to guess which section I was meant to wait at, since there are no receptionists in the lobby. I made the lucky guess, so my two hour wait landed me in the correct room.

However, I got to the window only to find out that I was missing a piece of documentation. Ironically, I had actually checked with one of the workers at the beginning of my wait, who did not say I needed this piece of documentation.

If there had been a well-informed receptionist somewhere, I could have just turned back as soon as I got there. Like many DMV's, the workers also need an attitude check. They assumed I was an idiot for not having read their minds about this piece of documentation.

Unfortunately, I will be returning since there is no where else to go. I just figured they needed a review on here that they deserved.

I will give this Penn Dot office high marks, as it is well run. Anytime I've been here to renew my license OR annual renewal of auto registration, they always move me through smoothly. I wonder how many other states have such a efficient motor vehicle department?

I like when I have to go to the DMV now. It had been years since I had to stop by this DMV specifically, but after moving closer to Harrisburg, this was my nearest office. I was impressed. Impressed by a government office!

Anytime I've visited, the people are courteous and straight-forward. I'm directed exactly where I need to go. There are swarms of people and so many different desks, but I've never waited longer than a few minutes. It's really a terrific model of efficiency and kinda fun to observe in action.

Okay, sure it's an older building with no frills, but that's fine. And they still have the old coffee machine I remember from my childhood. The coffee isn't bad either, but I couldn't really describe it because I'm too busy in nostalgia mode, looking at the hidden poker hand on the bottom.

It's pretty good for a DMV. It could use more parking I have seen people parking up along the bushes when it is busy, though it seems to be okay there. You should have not problem on a regular day though. Make sure you aren't going on a any holiday since it will most likely be closed. Try using the DMV website before going as well so you are informed and what you may need to bring.

The DMV in Harrisburg is worth the drive. It is so fast. The people are so polite and they know their job. I'd rather drive the hour to come here then to go to The DMV in Reading where they are slow, rude, grumpy and do not want to do their job. They may know their job, but they don't actually want to do it. Good job Harrisburg DMV!!!

Was given false information over the phone about the special points exam had my hopes up that I would get my license back. My mom emailed to make sure and they said I was given false information and that my license will still be suspended weather I pass in 30 days or not. Had my hopes up for nothing

Short wait times and exceptional service. The employees were knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Not to mention they had a sense of humor as well. The best service I have ever received at any government facility. It was worth the drive from Selinsgrove to save $70 over the privately owned and operated Tri-County Tag.
