This place has amazing wings. So good you only need one type of sauce! They are full size, so don't let the price fool you they are 3+times bigger than those $.50-1 a wing places. Their BLT is also amazing. Sunday brunch is worth it. I love the eggs Benedict.

This is not some tourist trap. It's more like a neighborhood dive where everyone knows your name. Come and expect to stay an hour or three. The kitchen is the size of a closet or two. The bartenders are the wait staff. They may have two on a busy night. And if its busy, they may be lucky enough to get a bar back. Don't expect an answer if the order wait is less than an hour. Want food, and can take the wait, come in and chill 90 minutes.

Great wings, terrible service. I am in KC at least once every month or so and every time I am here I grab wings from The Peanut. The last three times I was here (on weekdays) I called to place a carry out order, no answer. I knew they did carry out because I had called in orders before. This time, after calling three times over the course of 20 minutes they answered the phone, didn't even say hello, and hung up on me. There are plenty of good restaurants to patronize in KC that actually care about their customers. It really isn't that hard to answer the phone and place a carry-out order...I recommend skipping the Peanut on Main and going to the one downtown or in Shawnee Mission. They are much more friendly.

Great wings, just don't come in if you're in a hurry. I don't really mind the slow service though, I either order two beers at a time or get a pitcher to compensate. Not a big deal. The wings reheat really well if you take them home.

I went here because I heard they had some good wings and they didn't disappoint. Good sized wings with good flavor. I would guess they are char-buffed. Sadly they only have one flavor and it was packed so we had to wait a bit. I did like the atmosphere though and would go back for sure.

By far the my favorite place in Kansas City to eat. Their beers are cheap, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and get the wings and The BLT. I promise you will not be disappointed

Tiny place, way too many people. I hear the wings are good. That's about it.

A truly great little bar. Great wings, one of the best Sunday breakfasts you'll find in the city. One of the best staffs you'll find. Really, really can't say enough.

Great dive bar. Owned by the same family close to 100 years. Good hot wings and sandwiches.

The wings get 5 stars. They are simply the best buffalo wings that I've had to date, and I can't wait for a day when they are bested. The wing are so big you worry they might take flight if a breeze hits them just right. Instead, they just make your belly flutter with happiness.

Unfortunately service does suffer some at this location, but that comes with the old charm of a packed neighborhood bar, I suppose. Nevertheless, that earns Peanut a 4 star overall review.

Unique wing flavor, that makes for a great experience. Wings were cooked just right. FYI 6 wings are full wings so they would equal 12 wings at any other place. Great local atmosphere. Limited seating and there is a wait for the food to come out, but overall impressed.

A hole in the wall. Very little seating. Service usually isn't great. But The Peanut gets 4 out of 5 stars because the hot wings are just that good. Seriously. They're amazing.

The food is really quite good, it is known for its wings which are full wings in hot sauce. The place is a little small so if there are a lot of people, it can get quite noisy. The staff is great. The food takes a little bit to come out but it's not excessive. It's a long standing place with some character.

You will only find the classiest of people dining at The Peanut on Main, for obvious reasons. One would think that a restaurant of this caliber would only be found in the Hamptons of New York or the mountains of eloquent Aspen, Colorado. This fine dining experience certainly bats in the same league as Gram & Dunn and Seasons 52 on the plaza, but The Peanut's exquisite cuisine and service takes the crown every time. The perfect first date spot for any man looking to land the woman of his dreams, have her get the wings.

I've heard the wings are big, juicy, tasty. Damn right, they are large and in charge. I ordered a small order of 3 with fries and they more than satisfied my late night appetite. Just enough spice to make your mouth water and back sweat. The environment is your typical old dive bar. Forget about that though, good beer selection and prime location. Now, get your fingers bone licking dirty!
