I am a student at the school. I feel as though the school has a great campus and feel to it. Most of the teachers are amazing. Some of the students are threatening, it isn't too bad though. In this place, you just really have to find your clique or it isn't very comfortable. I feel the education is much better than the middle school Verity had to offer. Moving from Russell Middle School to Verity, I felt things were dumbed down ALOT and that the teachers didnt care as much. Blazer is better though.
I also feel like many of the students here aren't motivated to do much. They do what they're required and that's it. Of course there are always over-achievers and under-achievers (I guess you could call them) but the core of the students, the middle, I suppose, aren't very motivated to do any extra curricular activities or be in clubs.
As far as sports, it's good. But what about the arts? I don't think they're emphasized in any way, shape, or form. Students need encouragement to be creative and unique and not think that art is "gay" and "boring." Sports, of course are very important as well. Blazer has a very good sports-thing going on. Many students take pride in what they do whether it be in football, soccer, volleyball, cross country, or whatever. They have support and it's nice to see that my peers are active and happy doing it.
I dont really know where this is going, I'm just babbling on but hopefully this has helped.
