Attorney Fernandez and Attorney Nieves helped me tremendously through an extremely complex divorce matter that took almost five years to get through the Probate and Family Court. During this time, the world experienced a pandemic, the other party in the divorce matter changed lawyers twice, a new judge was assigned to our case right before the trial, two GAL reports and four DCF investigations were completed, and my children grew up to go through six grade levels. Attorney Fernandez adapted quickly to all of these changing circumstances and provided calm, compassionate, and consistent advice based on the facts of the matter. Because of her significant experience, Attorney Fernandez always had an excellent sense of how the Court would likely view a particular set of facts and what conclusions and decisions the Court might reach based on those facts. This avoided unnecessary back and forth with the other party and wasteful petitions to the Court. Attorney Fernandez kept lines of communication with the opposing counsel open even in the face of what I viewed as lack of cooperation from the other side. Even though she always argued in the court passionately on my behalf, she was never swayed by emotion and kept the case on track strictly in line with how the law applied to the facts in our case. I highly recommend Attorney Fernandez for handling a wide range of family law matters in Massachusetts.
