I love this place! It's amazing to spend a lazy day. If you have a family the train, carrousel, zoo, pony rides, playgrounds and (in summer) water park, makes it the best location for a day with kids. The train and carrousel are 1,5$! It's a small zoo, but it's worth it!
Love this place, have taken my kids here numerous times. Park and carousel are nice and the Zoo is pretty cool. Not a huge Zoo but has enough interesting cool animals so the kids have a great adventure. I do miss that they don't have the bird feeding section anymore which was a huge hit with my daughter but all in all a great place to spend a day with the family.
My children love this zoo. Sure it's small but it's a cute place and easy for the kids to walk through and see all of the animals. Take the kids here and then go across the field to the playground. The kids will love it.
Nice place for kids and for the price totally is worth Too bad I couldn't see birds due to cold nights A train is in the place and children loved it!
My girls ages 3 & 5 loved the zoo. We started with a train ride around the park and got to see a lot of the animals and then walked through the park, visiting all the animals. They also enjoyed the merry go round. I would advice anyone with kids to visit this place. You can most likely spend about 2-3 hours here the most as its not very big but its the perfect size for kiddies.
Van Saun County park. Its simply magnificent.
A marvelous place to share with your children n loved ones. I use to spend alot of time there when my daughter " Isabella"🥀 when she was younger.👩👦🙇♀️🤰🎀♥️🎈
Seeing the butterflies, being enclosed with hundreds of diffrent ones was one of her favorite things to do at the park. She laughed n loved it. While i felt a little freaked out being around so many of them. Going for horseback or donkey ride while a man walked them all around was very special too.
The animals were all beautiful, but Isabella's special place as well as mine was the petting zoo.
Also bringing our pennies to this old machine and putting them in a whole, picking from a few animals like the Buffalo and other's then she turn the handle. In the end instead of our old penny we would get this beautiful oval copper piece with the Buffalo we picked engraved in our penny. IT woyld come out all shiny and beautiful. We did this at the end of the day before we left.
Then we would buy a glass of fresh lemonade each n go on the little train ride together.
Taking our last look before we left that day. Only to come again in 1-3 months. We truly loved it there. Is a magnificent place. The Shops there were also alot of fun and great prices. We loved buying diffrent color rocks each time we went plus a hand book explainning the diffrent names, formations n colors for each of these rocks. It was great!
Lots of fun. You can bring bicycles n even have picnics, as they have an area with tables for this. Its definitely one of OUR favorite places.♥️ 🤹♀️A must see ! For sure🌹🌷🥀

The Zoo is so Boring!!! Super WaCK!!! No wild animals whats so ever!!! The park out side was beautiful and fun for the kids and has barbecues. For family parties but Zoo BORING ASS HECK!!
Larger and more exotic array of animals than you would expect for a small, quaint zoo. The prairie dog exhibit is fun. The large enclosure for elk and bison is beautiful. At one time, they housed bald eagles, I haven't seen them in a while. They were majestic. Ruby the cow, she's no longer with us, and she is missed. The sheep are fun to watch run and jump! Sometimes leaping the milk cans in their enclosure. Monkey exhibit is popular, but in season for temperatures they prefer. As is mountain cat exhibit. Grounds of the entire zoo park have been refurbished, and are kept clean. There is a fun little gift shop as well.
I've been coming here for years. This park has a nice children's play area with splashers in the summer and newer tumbling structures and soft ground surfaces. In the summer, you'll find many families having private barbeques. The train ride and small zoo are also a nice for the kids.
Small zoo with a bit of education and lots of fun exploring animals inside.
In winter exhibition is smaller but the admission is free. In summer time there is a train going around the park so you could see big animals from the other side of their aviary.
Also there is a small garden with lots of flowers with the description what is that and where does this grow. Very interesting for young kids.
