  I recently went into Panhandle Exotics and had a wonderful experience learning about some of the animals they had there. Though the animals are no touch (for their safety and yours) I thought it was endearing to see the animals keep trying to get my attention by standing up on the glass, begging to be loved regardless of the rules, that tells me that they are more than ready for finding their forever homes! I was so pleased with the way Chris and Derek handled their business that I decided to purchase a female raccoon from them. They answered any questions I had and gave me tips here and there which was much appreciated. I give Panhandle Exotics 5 ⭐️‘s !!!

  Had a great experience, staff is so helpful and friendly! I adopted two sweet rats from them and they are very healthy and happy girls! The staff asked me a lot of questions before adopting them to make sure I knew what I was doing, which I found comforting that they don’t give their animals to just anyone.

  I've only been to this store once due to moving 45 minutes away. I went to check out bearded dragons because my daughters wanted one. Chris was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He allowed my daughters to hold one but encouraged them to go home and research and educate themselves. I've seen bad reviews and complaints regarding Chris but I can tell you I didn't have any issues whatsoever. Read signs, follow rules and respect the owners, animals and the business. I can assure you that when we are in the market for a new pet, I will travel to Panhandle Exotics for a new family addition.

  Great little pet store that seems to care about the well-being of their animals. Very knowledgeable staff but one of the owners seems like he has a bit of an attitude problem sometimes. It's great to see a store like this in Pensacola where the owners know what they're doing and will help you be successful in owning an exotic or semi-exotic animal. Prices do seem a little extreme in some cases though.

  The people who work here are amazing and very informative. You can hold and pet the animals (The ones that it is safe for them to be held). There are animals here that you will not see in any other pet store. The place is clean and you can tell the animals are cared for. There is hand sanitizer available for between animals. And I cannot say enough how nice and knowledgeable the ladies in this little shop are!

  They were so helpful. Very educated, have me several less expensive alternatives to products they sell themselves. The animals look comfortable and content. You can tell their priority is the animals.

  They do have a good bit of exotic animals. However, the one person that was working there, was very rude. I have owned a wide variety of different types of exotic animals and currently own exotics. He didn't know me, and started our conversation by telling me, he wouldn't sell me anything, because I wouldn't know how to take care of them. I guess this kid knows everything! Very Rude Guy! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

  The guys that run this amazing establishment are awesome and knowledgeable, this is not a petting Zoo! They love all of they're babies so No they are not going to let you bring your germs in to make they're healthy babies Sick!!! These guys take pride in what they do and have no time for foolishness and will put none of there animals at risk for ignorant people!!!! I love them😍

  We were very impressed with how many really exotic animals in the store. I see that there are a few bad reviews about this place but we were talking with one of the guys who work there and he's just trying to make sure that you or the animals don't get hurt. If you follow the no touch policy on the animals posted you can have a very positive experience. Both of the guys are super knowledgeable and friendly. We picked up a beautiful Brazilian Rainbow Boa while we were there too.

  We had a great experience coming in on a rainy day to do research on Leopard Geckos. The guy (whose name I didn't get) was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and even let my son touch the Leo they had in store! It made his day!
  All the cages and aquariums were well maintained and clean. Thanks for a wonderful experience! We will be back when we are ready for our own Leo! Thank you!!

  Amazing people. Very knowledgeable. I bought 2 skunks and a kinkajou from them, and they've been very helpful. They've given me support throughout the entire process, even months later. Best pet store ever!

  These guys are amazing! They are very helpful and knowledgeable about every animal they carry. If you are thinking about adding an exotic animal to your home, they will help you pickout the best one for you & your family. I won't buy or do business with any other.

  By far the best experience I've ever had at a pet store!! I walked in the first time expecting the worst, as most privately owned pet shops are usually quite smelly; however, Panhandle Exotics is so clean! Barely a smell. Very happy animals, clean and clear eyed. They had a puppy, 2 chipmunks, a lot of adorable little hedgehogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, a short tailed possum, male and female sugar gliders (which is what my boyfriend and I went in there for), a porcupine, a whole reptile room, and plenty of accessories for your pets. The staff is unbelievably kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about everything there, and it was a joy talking to them! I will definitely be back here whenever I need something for my new suggies! Just a little reminder to everyone: do your research BEFORE bringing a new pet into your home. No matter what you choose, make sure they will be a good fit for your family because they will be new family members! Go see the animals and spend some time with them before adopting. And please, make sure you have enough time, energy, patience, and money for upkeep. They are all living beings that deserve a happy and healthy life ♡ thank you, Panhandle Exotics, for being so helpful in the adoption process!! We are proud parents of VERY happy sugar gliders! :D

  Came in to check this place out. Store has a great selection, but don't expect to be able to touch anything or even have the employees take an animal out of habitat. The guy we met was knowledge but a real jerk. We won't likely be back just based on his terrible attitude.
