Terrible experience. No water for 25 minutes. Rude servers. Order was incorrect. Food was subpar for the price. Quality is equal to a place like Applebee's. Never coming back.

Went here for dinner on 11-2-2017 with some friends from work. We ordered several appetizers with one being the Brussel Sprouts per another reviewer’s recommendation, but several of us tried them and none of us were overly impressed with them. They were cooked properly and are fine as a side dish, but for an appetizer they were lacking any special flavor (needed some bacon or something like that with it to give it some zeal). The bruschetta received better reviews as did the artichoke dip and some cheese thingy that I didn’t try. I ordered the prime rib and at $37 expected it to be significantly better. The steak was tender and cooked correctly and the horse radish “sauce” did have a nice flavor. I didn’t hear any of the 12 of us rave about any of the dishes we ordered. The drinks were pretty good and were not watered down. The wait staff was on top of lost things except I had to wait 10 min to get my water refilled. The waitress poured tea for my colleague and that’s when I started waiting on the water (stating to the waitress, “oh, I thought that was water” when I held my glass up to be refilled. For the prices of Palomino I’d recommend going elsewhere for a tastier meal (especially when dropping about $60 per person.)

Stopped by for lunch while I was visiting in town. Sat at the bar. It took about 40+ minutes to get a salad. It was good, however they don't seem to be properly staffed. There was only one person running around the lounge area. Food appeared to be delayed for everyone.

The food was amazing! I got a 3 course lunch for $19 with a drink. I ordered the Mushroom Soup, French Dip, and watermelon sorbet. The French Dip was great and the Au Jus was just the right amount of salty and savory. I also was a huge fan of the Sorbet - a nice finish on such a hot day.
The only complaint that I had was how long service was. I think we waited 25-30 minutes from our salads until our entrees came out. If you are not in a rush and want an enjoyable and relaxing lunch, this is your place.response / report this review -

I guess it was just a bad night at the Palomino as two people recommended it to a co-worker and I but it was awful. First it took an hour and a half to get our food, then both were overcooked (fillet, and baked pasta). They forgot his salad completely and claimed my pasta is supposed to look like that (sorry folks cheese is never supposed to be black). They ended up bringing him another steak which he said was ok my pasta didn't have much for flavor. Like I said, it may have just been a bad night but I wouldn't take that chance again.

Food looks good. My friend and I both had salmon. Mine came with a cultural/ethnic twist. His was just regular and was good. For me the sides; rice cakes of some sort were extra salty and the salmon was not tasty despite the curry. I guess stick with traditional options if you go here.response / report this review -

Visited on a Friday evening June of 2017, initial impression was good, I liked the partially open kitchen, overall the place was perhaps even a little nicer then I expected(should have stepped it up to a collared shirt). We were promptly seated and started to review the drink menu, they had a nice draft selection as I walked in but unfortunately the menu was so vague with "seasonal draft" that we couldn't make a decision until the waiter came over.
That's where things derailed a bit as it took the waiter well over 5 minutes to first approach the table, and that was just the "I'll be right with you." Now we had no where to be so this is not the end of the world but with so much staff buzzing around it would have been nice to some someone at the table in a more timely manner(bread, water, etc). When he did arrive the beer selection ended up being poor(no IPA's??) so we went with a glass of wine which was fine. Bread arrived served with a cold tomato/garlic sauce.bread was not impressive, sauce was okay.
I ordered a Sirloin and my wife ordered the pasta with Italian sausage. Both meals are pictured, and while they took a while to come out both really were excellent. Pretty sure I got a filet not a sirloin but NOT complaining, the food was really on point.
Overall our dinner was enjoyable and the food was very good, had the service been a little more prompt early on I'd probably have nothing to complain about. That being said my opinion is that this is a place to go for a birthday dinner with the family. As just a couple I would have preferred a more modern vibe/atmosphere.response / report this review -

They are very well known for their shrimp cocktail sauce. .most spicy..love it. The steak was perfect. Great service!! For me this is a place to go for special occasions.

This place has great food and great service. They are a little slower than most restaurants, but the food is fresh. I usually get their prime rib and it is top notch with their in house horseradish. I would highly recommend this restaurant, just make sure you give yourself a little extra time.

Stumbled upon this place and glad I found it! Great little local spot, especially if you live in the Richmond area. Small space, so you'll definitely get to know your neighbors, especially on a crowded Trivia Night (Thursdays at 8pm), but the music and energy is worth it! Menu is reasonably priced and they make amazing sandwiches with perfectly crunchy bread and a surprisingly soft and chewy center. The bacon butter crunch will not disappoint! Happy hour is from 3-7 and you get $1 off drinks and apps. Can't wait to come back!

We chose to visit during Devour Indy, and just after they completed their remodeling. The environment was contemporary and upscale without being imposing.
Our server Jay was excellent, managing to be available but avoiding hovering. He provided excellent suggestions that led me to order the pappardelle & marshland cream pasta which was wonderful with a good selection of veggies. My wife enjoyed the prime rib, remarking on how well the beef and the prawns were cooked. She felt the horseradish was as good as she's had (and she isn't typically a horseradish fan).
It had been years since we visited, but we will not wait as long to return.response / report this review -
