This hotel is 100% cancer. When I booked the hotel and the first time I stepped into the room, it was disgusting. Bed bugs, mold and any type of disgust you can possibly imagine. I had to pay 300$ for a frickin night here. I'm warning you people, never go to this place for a stay. NEVER. It is so much cancer that I can feel tumours growing everywhere.
This place has changed its name 3 times: tropicana, palm grove, and now sun and sand. It is one of the most vile places on earth. Make sure you are vaccinated for blood bourne illnesses prior to check in. Stay away. Go to youtube and search for dirtiest hotels in america, it was ranked #1 a few years ago by a major news channel. Check ot out. If it is your only choice, sleep on the sidewalk or behand a dumpster- anywhere but this place.
Worst hotel I have ever been to. Looks nothing like pictures online. Filthy, nasty, dirty, mild and hair in showers. Dirty sheets. Would not give you refund and tried to charge you even if you didn't stay. Left after the 1st night and they still wanted to charge us for 3 nights. After I fought with them they finally said they would only charge us for 1 night and when i checked my credit card they had charged us over $1088.76 when we should have only been charged $278.00. There are no managers to talk to and when i tried to call to get my credit card straight they put me on hold and never came back. The place is the awful!!!
Checked in with my family and was back at the front desk within 15 mins. Hairs and stains on the pillow cases and sheets. Terrible smell throughout the hotel. Can't park on site and had to park across the street behind the dumpster near the homeless shelter. Never would have taken my family to my van at night to go anywhere. Checked out after being offered another room which was also dirty. They kept my money for the first night and gave me the refund the next morning for my second night. Please don't make the same mistake I did. You get what you pay for. The County Inn and Suites next door took great care of me!!
Don't stay at this Hotel. It's filthy, the carpets turned my socks black after a only a few minutes of walking around the room. The shower head sprayed water everywhere in the bathroom leaving the floor soaked. The parking lot was full of broken glass and rocks, and off behind another building not remotely secure. The best part was when they charged me for a second night, saying I called down from my room at noon to request to stay an additional night. I left the hotel at 6am that morning and was already on my way home to Ohio, and some where in Pennsylvania by noon. Their "Customer Service" refused to help me, leaving me to dispute the charge with my bank. Please DO NOT subject your self to staying at this place. I'm sure the VA Beach jail is nicer, and you may even find more honest people there!
first off we stayed 8-15 -8-18 and the place was great my air worked the place did not smell except 1st when they had door open by the pool you could smell a little chlorine the customer service was excellent , helpful ,friendly and its well worth the money the pics I saw online looked just like our room 302.. our room had working ac, shower, micro , fridge , ocean front view.. there is laundry service and a pool.. it is also a great location by many places to shop and eat.. we will book here again highly recommended
