Tortillini was gggrreeaattt! But contrary to popular opinion my partner and I thought the veggie pizza with beef was lacking something but not sure what Maybe not enough sauce?

My favorite pizza. Has dining room with waitresses. Kitchen open to view. Wednsday spaghetti special is popular with local teens or you can get it to go. Busy place on weekends

Pagliai's is a Classic pizza place. Love the thin crust pizza. Aldo, Paul, and Kim were making great pizzas here , since back in the mid sixties. Right at the top of the list of places to go, whenever I'm in Charleston. Nice atmosphere and a great place to take friends and family. Keep the ovens fired up , I'm craving one of those tasty pies !

I have enjoyed spaghetti many places across the United States. No one makes a red sauce so simple and so classic as our very own Pagliai's. We are fortunate to have them here. In the same family since it opened in the same place for many years. As a small toddler, I can remember the day they use to hand toss the pizza dough in the air till they got their fancy dough rolling marching. Its New York style pizza right here in Charleston, Illinois. If you have visited New York, you know they have nothing on us regarding pizza..

I love this place. The sausage is fantastic (mixed in house I believe) However, there is something with central Illinois pizza joints that I don't get. If you want a pizza with some substance 1) don't use canned mushrooms and everything else fresh. Keep it all fresh. 2) stop dicing peppers and onions. Slice them. You get better chance consistency and a better taste cause they catch some of char from the oven. 3) this is more of a personal request, please add fresh chopped garlic as a topping (note: fresh not jarred) I swear, if you love garlic and have never tried it, having it fresh and cooked on a pizza will change your life. You can't speak to anyone for a few days but it's soooo good. This is probably the best pizza joint between Charleston and Mattoon. Believe me I'm a fat guy with a whole family from Chicagowe know good pizza.

Best pizza in Illinois! We have family from Chicago with nearly limitless access to any kind of pizza you can think of and they look forward most to some Pagliais when they come down to visit.

Looking forward to going here again. Took my son with our girlfriends. Waitress was good. Had several helping us. Got the Paglia's Special and enjoyed it very much. Big pieces of ingredients on a thin crust with a tangy sauce. Only thin was that the booths are a little cramped for four, but loved the atmosphere.

This is a Charleston classic, and the best pizza in Charleston in my opinion. The house special (thick crust, extra sausage, extra cheese) and Pagliai's special (thin crust with everything) are my favorites. We also get the cheese sticks pretty frequently. If you're looking for a good deal, the spaghetti special on Wednesdays is the way to go. You get a whole plate of spaghetti and garlic bread for next to nothing. Go early or later to avoid crowds, particularly on Wednesdays and special weekends at EIU.
