Reading over some of these reviews, as i was getting ready to post my own, caused me to feel the need to call a few out. While yes, it may take a little longer than YOU originally planned for the timeline of filing a report, these men and women who have dedicated their careers to trying to help their communities can not be in a million places at once. So yes, while you may have gotten impatient that an officer was too busy working an accident or assisting another community member, it is important to remember that there is a bigger picture than just you and your report. As far as other negative posts i saw on here, all those users appeared to be the critics that only post negative things about businesses. Which only goes to show its a major attitude adjustment behind the individual posting. Overland Park Police Department is a valued department that i have personally seen go out of their way to improve peoples lives and make a difference. Day and in and day out, i have seen the bullcrap they have to put up with and still stick to it. But more importantly the amazing service they contribute to the city and its residents. I will always appreciate this police department. Back the Blue.

Walked into OP Police Dept just before 5pm to file a report on a hit and run, no one was here so I used the phone to call the desk and she said someone would be here shortly that was 45 minutes ago.. and I am still waiting. So much for protect and serve. Thanks

Great bunch of folks.. without me calling an officer stopped an assisted me when my car broke down at Switzer and 119th.. he directed traffic around me so I could safely jump start my car! Tonight my neighbors left their garage door open and the dispatcher was very professional and helpful when fielding my call!!!!! Appreciate you guys and gals!!

Hernanadez is a joke and treats you like your his age, 21. These are the guys who couldn't succeed in anything else in life, so became officers and now on some huge power trip. They are a joke, did a search and couldn't even find what they "thought" were looking for. Fergason is the typical 50s cop whose rude, doesn't know a thing about the 21st century, and just overall neither were very smart people at all. Hence why their police officers and made nothing more of themselves.
