Have been going to Our Lady of Lourdes for about a month and a half now. I won't be going back ever again after this past Sunday. During the 8 o-clock mass, an older man began having health issues that required the Eucharest to be stopped and EMTs to set the man on a stretcher and carry him out. The priest presiding over the mass said "well, this GENTLEMAN is having some health issues, I won't go into what they are but they've been recurrent and we'll just stop the mass until he receives medical attention." On the surface, he was tactful about it but he had a distinct edge especially in pronouncing the word "gentleman." He didn't offer that those in attendance at the mass should pray for the man, though we were all there in God's presence and with His spirit in our hearts, and when I shook the priest's hand at the end of the mass and asked if he had known the man's name the priest responded with "How can I know? I'm a visitor to this parish just like you." I asked for the man's name so that I could write it on a piece of paper and put it into the prayer boxI did that anyway, just offering a prayer for "the man who had health issues at mass at 8 o-clock on 4/2/17." Maybe this is nit-picking of me, but I felt that compassion was needed when the man showed signs of health trouble and instead the priest looked at it as a matter of somebody interrupting his sermon. I won't be going back.

I've been going to OLOL for as long as I can remember. It is where I recieved First Communion and where I was Confirmed. The atmosohere is warm and welcoming and the music is phenomenal.
