Description
Ork Posters is the original creator of the typographic city neighborhood map design. Starting with Chicago in 2007, it now offers many U.S. cities and a few international ones too, including Toronto, Vancouver, London and Paris. It also has anatomy designs for the heart and the brain in the same style.

In my continued exploration of #map design and as an homage to the city I call home, I’m excited to share a new map of #Chicago and surrounding suburbs, i.e. #Chicagoland. I get SO many requests for suburb maps of major cities but my existing map style does not lend itself well to a map of these expansive, sometimes never ending, geographic areas. In the same way my neighborhood maps are stripped down to very few elements, so is this new design, showing only major roads/highways and waterways, and town and prominent neighborhood names. All in a minimal style removed of curves to help add more “order” to the aesthetically disordered street and highway systems. The 3-color 18” x 24” screen print is $25 and can also be purchased at Neighborly!
