Greens are basically battlefields. Rough and fairways aren’t consistent. Pace of play is very slow. If I didn’t happen to get a great deal on this round, I would be even more angry. I feel terrible for the people paying $40-70 to play this course when it should be half that price. Sure the clubhouse is nice, but what’s a golf course without a nice course?

Was there for a family wedding. Absolutely beautiful venue! Small and very personal would elrecomend to anyone from the area. Food was also very good.

The greens are in terrible shape and the rangers are rude. Twice we were asked to speed it up, but we were already waiting on nearly every hole. We were literally waiting for the group in front to hit their second shot, when the ranger drove up and asked us to play ready golf. I asked him if he wanted us to hit into the group as I pointed and he said, "just play faster" and drove off. If we didn't have to pull the weeds from the green or move our ball due to all the dead spots, putting would be more efficient.
Also, the clubhouse ladies handling food at the turn must be clueless to the word "preparation." Nothing was made ahead of time, leading to a nearly 10-15 minute wait for sandwiches to be made or dogs to be grilled.
This course needs to seriously revamp their operations.response / report this review -

Just got off of the course about an hour ago. We had a really great experience at Olde Sycamore. This was a challenging course, yet it was very fun to play. There were strategic holes throughout, drivable par 4s, and short par 3s. This was a very fun course to play for a couple of amateur golfers. The only reason it gets a 4 star and not a 5 is because there aren't many carts that go around, and we find rushed at times on the course. This may not be due to the course, but rather the people who were playing behind us (who seemed to picking up at quite a few holes). Great experience!! I would recommend this course to anyone!!

Just moved to Charlotte and this was the first course I played. Played yesterday. The course was in great shape and very fun to play. I used to work at Wolf Creek back in Mesquite, NV and we not only made sure the course was in tip top shape but we also made sure the golfer had a great experience from the moment they pulled up. Olde Sycamore could use a lot of help with the latter. I wasn't really sure where to go when I got there and I had to seek out the staff to find out. Maybe the standards are just a little lower out here as far as the service part goes but I enjoyed the course a lot.

My group plays several public courses in Charlotte area hands down Olde Sycamore is one of the best. Course is inTip-Top condition at this time .employees are very hospitable and conditions of the course are best in the area

Course is in good shape except for some isolated drainage issues. Greens are in very good shape. Balls for the driving range are way overpriced. Six dollars for about 30 balls.

Great day of golf! This is a challenging and well maintained golf course. Wonderful staff, greens were perfect, course is very well maintained, challenging holes, all around great place!!
