The mission is not very big but ot is beautiful you should totally visit but it might be cold depending if it's a weard year. You sould go see the plays that they have there but they are in Spanish, there are two plays but and the one that I like best is every two years, I don't know witch one there going to play next year. If you're interested you should take a peek a the San Andreas foult line. There might be grumpy people.

If on a mission quest visiting any number of CA’s 21 missions, Mission San Juan Bautista should be on your list. The church is unique in that it was the only Mission built with three aisles, making it the largest on the Camino Real. The original tiles still cover the floor where one can find wild animal tracks left during the drying process. And this mission sits alongside the San Andreas Fault where a steep drop in elevation occurred, just feet away from its fence line. Sitting adjacent to a historical CA State Park, there is much to do and see here.

Beautiful mission! This is where the iconic film Vertigo was made with just a bit of artistic license. In late summer the film is shown on the lawn There is a path behind on the San Andreas fault line overlooking the beautiful fields. u p

It's a beautiful place to visit takes you back in time plenty of places to eat and shop around and also a beautiful park where you can barbecue and relax kick back

Lovely place for a stroll. Museum is interesting, garden needs a little work. The mission is bordered by state park museums. There is a gift shop.

A fine example of early life in colonial California.** The mission is still an active church and offers mass in English and Latin. The grounds are lovingly preserved and aside from the growth of the trees, looks as it did two hundred years ago.
There are a number of other old buildings on the property illustrating life in the old west. A blacksmith shop and the carriage house to name a couple.
If you feel a rumble that's not coming from your tummy, it could very well be an earthquake. The area is directly on the San Andreas fault and it is said that there are very small quakes every day. Then again, it could be the smell of the fresh baked bread coming from town.
The tour is lengthy and involved so be prepared to listen closely and wait your turn to see the exhibits. The halls are narrow and the door ways short so watch your head.
There are a number of fine examples of furniture and art of the times, including a harpsichord on display inside.
And yes, that is an outhouse in the back.

Mission San Juan Bautista is the centerpiece of the cute small town of San Juan Bautista. What differentiates this mission from the others is the adjacent state park preserving historic structures from the town. The museum here is top notch.

My class went to the mission on last Friday for a 4 th grade field trip and it was very fun it was cool how we got to stand on the San Andreas fault
