We hiked the Fire Mountain Trails located at the village. The trails are very nice but hikers & bikers share so be careful.

The natural settings were wonderful, staff and guide's extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed my tour very much. I've told a lot of my Western Band Cherokee friends they should make the trip to Cherokee NC and see the wonders of the area.

Great way to see a working Cherokee village. All the workers are part of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation and are very knowledgeable about each of their carfts. As you walk around, all those working are more than willing to answer your questions and each were patient to listen to our Cub scouts questions no matter how crazy or repetitive they were! Look forward to our next trip

Excellent guided tour of this recreated Cherokee village of the 1800s (or was that 1700s?). Craftspeople were accommodating to our questions and the dance demonstration very interesting.

The Cherokee Indian Village lets visitors take a step back in time. It shows you how The Cherokee People lived hundreds of years ago. There are demonstrations of how we did beadwork, loom work, how we make Baskets, demos of different dances we did for different ceremonies, demos of our tools we used such as blowguns & axes. And you will experience how a sweat lodge works & its purposes. You will not be disappointed!!

Kind of interesting, very overpriced. The tours are drawn out and get very boring because of how long it takes between stations. The "play" we were subjected to was absolutely godawful. Terrible, cheesy acting and my whole family had to try hard not to laugh.

It took way too long to complete the tour, I wish it had been self guided the whole way. By the time we got done it was 4:30 and the damn gift shop had closed which was the only thing my child was looking forward to at that point. So then we go to walk through the free gardens and they are also closed at 4:30 on a Saturday.

I honestly could not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money.

I assume you have young children so here it is. We spent $60 for about 2 average hours. Instead, I recommend stopping by the trinket shop on the main drag that does free Indian shows with Indians in a full head dress. Give the kids $10 each to spend in the store and you'll have just as good of a time for half the cost.

Went downhill since I went there when I was a kid, mainly the whole area did. Was still a very interesting experience with a lot of memorable moments. would definitely check it out if your in the area.

I mtb'd the new fire mountain trails. While compact in a small area they are well built. The trails still need some breaking in but they were a lot of fun to ride. We ended up doing two laps to the top. Some good jumps, very smooth, not much technical. A little far for Asheville but I can see myself making occasional trip for something different.

Fantastic view into what life was really like in the past centuries for the Cherokee. At noon, they performed the Time of War.a battle with the British red coats. Very interesting and is a part of the 3 must see attractions in Cherokee.Unto These Hills, Ocanaluftee Indian Village, and the Cherokee Indian Museum.
