Couldn't have picked a better university for me. Small class sizes, knowledgeable & approachable professors, friendly students, great residence life, and a beautiful and safe campus. OU is where I grew into an independent adult for the first time. I went from being a total recluse to a glowing student leader because of OU. I would recommend this school to anyone, because it brings out the best qualities in everyone.
It's a great place to go to school, but, finding a job after is super hard. I graduated in 2013 with a writing degree and I've not yet found a job in my field. I apply to 15,000 jobs a year. Some years 20,000 across the lower 48 and tefl jobs. Getting a degree in the arts is a mistake. Do not get a writing degree if you go here if you value being able to keep a roof over your head.
A very nice place to learn, and most of the students and staff are great and very helpful. Highly recommended.
If you love the suburbs and enjoy nature. Oakland University is a great place for you. Great programs and friendly services and staff. Doesn't hurt to go for a free tour.
I was not impressed with Oakland at all. The student services aren't the greatest and financial aid is a joke. Don't bother with the math program because I think it's one of the worst, I ended up dropping my math class and taking it at a different school. Beautiful campus but I don't think it is a very organized university.
