Received a quote for just over $1,000 to replace a water pump and idler bearing. Bought the parts myself for about $200 and fixed it in a couple hours in my driveway while showing my son what I was doing throughout the process. A good mechanic is worth the money. Few mechanics are worth $400/hr.
On the bright side, I only had to pay $100 for an estimate and mis-diagnosis.
Northwoods Auto Techs team is professional and very thorough with their attention to detail and explanations. I'm pleased to partner with them to maximize the longevity of my vehicle. I also appreciate that they loan me a car to drive while they're working on mine. It's a treat doing business with them.
These folks are terrific and the service is excellent. I have been bringing them my (now) 13 year old Jeep for years, and they keep it running like new. It is very nice to have found a vehicle that I really like, as well as an auto repair shop to keep it running like new. And there is also the Nissan Murano as well - great staff and mechanics.
Excellent service, fairly priced, always
anxious to please the customer. Why
go anywhere else?

They always do a great job. Kept us informed during the repair process. I highly recommend Northwoods Auto Techs!
