The whole team I worked with was great, the process moved very quickly with my car being totaled. They did a great job at communicating, and informed me on everything I would need to do if I got help for any injuries. My main agent was Phoebe Hollingsworth, and she made the whole process very easy and as least stressful as possible. She returned my calls in a timely manner as well. I think being a smaller organization like them, allows for better communication between agents and their clients. Thank you all for your help!

I love Northern Neck Insurance, I have had them for years and whenever I need them they are right there. I recently had a tree come down on my barn within 3 hours of calling to file a claim the assessor was here. He worked it up and said my check would be mailed within 24 hours. They are truly the best insurance company hands down!

I had filed a claim with Northern Neck for hail damage to my roof that happened a few years ago. I did not know I had damage until a few months ago. I had switched insurance companies by this time also. Betsy was so understanding and kind through the whole process. They ended up covering the hail damage to my roof and were also very quick about getting back to me. I had a better experience with Northern Neck than I did with my current insurance company when I filed a claim with them. Thank you!

Northern Neck is a great insurance Company to deal with. My personal experience was dealing with an accident in which I was at fault. Lori Williams was the claims agent who worked with me though this process. She is very thorough and professional. My car was a total loss and I am very satisfied with the settlement offered. I hope to have a long term relationship with Northern Neck. They have earned my trust and I know they will stand behind me if I ever need to call on them again.

We are all used to life being sorta like a roller coaster with the expected ups and downs. But sometimes you are just cruising along and all of a sudden the tracks disappear and life changes. June 23 2015 my wife and I woke up to find the house that had been our home for 10 years and everything in it had been reduced to a pile of smoldering rubble. Three of our dogs and a cat died in the fire. Five survived.
We had a Northern Neck homeowners policy. They have done a wonderful job of helping us get back to an almost normal life. Our agent was at the property, before the fire department left, with a check to help cover necessities. I gladly recommend them to anyone needing insurance! My only complaint was the paperwork.
Some things I have learned during this experience:
Job was right.
The Insurance agent was fast, but they do not move as fast as red cross, good friends, or bill collectors.
When your world has been turned upside down and some one gives you a blank check and asks "what can we do to help", all you can see before you is the things that cannot be fixed. The ones who help most, realize the blank stare and send toothbrushes, soap, socks, underwear and dog food.
You have more good friends then you think you have.

I have two requests for you. Please make sure you have replacement insurance. If you do not know, check and see. Take pictures of the inside of your house. Open drawers and cabinets. Email them to friends or save them somewhere other then your home. I pray you never need them.
Just remember, I thought loosing your home and everything in it was something that happened to other people also.

Coming home from Beach Vacation and a big steal ladder fell off a truck and my car ran over it. And was not happy with the way they done me over this accident, which even wasn't my fault, They had my car fixed after having a hard time with them. But my car till having problems with it, but they won't do anything. Very Unhappy with This Company

Having an impossible time with this company. My automotive claim has been going on for over a year. Had to hire a lawyer for a 1997 vehicle. The investigator was asking questions that either impossible to answer or would break privacy laws.. My advice would be not to get involved with Northern Neck Insurance.

This company left a huge tree and the damage to my roof that it caused on my home for weeks while other neighbors who had same kind of damage had their insurance company pay for tree removal and repairs within days. As a matter of fact, they still have not paid for all the damage done to my home since Isabel storm. Their Adjusters came in at almost 1/3rd the cost of actual repairs. Even after talking to the Vice President of the company I still was not pleased with them. Do not get this insurance company or you will be real sorry if you ever need them.

Stay away from this company! I have had a very negative experience.
My basement flooded. My homeower's policy had content replacement coverage. Northern Neck hired a water/loss mitigation company (First Call of Richmond) to remove the damaged contents and water. Among the items removed were 9' air hockey table and high end, 16' wooden shuffleboard table. (I have pictures of them in the middle of the flooded basement!)
Northern Neck refused to replace them, because they thought they could have been salvaged. Ridiculous! During the moving of the shuffleboard table, the one of the wooden sides even fell off. Either way, their mitigator said it was damaged and disposed of it. Aren't we consumers supposed to be able to rely that the insurance company sends competent mitigators?
Northern Neck Insurance is a company that does not provide good customer service. They did not provide the reimbursement coverage stated under the homeowner's policy. I wonder if this is just their way to try to get out of paying this portion of their claim. For the record, this is the only claim I have had in 24 of being a homeowner.
