Description

We have a commitment to serve Veterans, as they once served our country. The Emergency Department is open 24/7 to serve registered Veterans. The Northern Arizona VA Health Care System provides inpatient and outpatient care at the Bob Stump VAMC in Prescott, Arizona and also provides outpatient care at community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) in Anthem, Flagstaff, Cottonwood, Kingman and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It also provides Telehealth Care in Holbrook, Page, Tuba City, Polacca and Kayenta with an IHS Clinic in Chile and a mobile clinic.

The Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System is part of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 18 and serves a population of about 26,000 Veterans in a primary service area that includes six counties in North Central Arizona. Our employees are a dedicated team, and working together, we are "Keeping the Promise to America’s Veterans."

    The American Legion Lori Piestewa Post #80 Royalty, escorted by Geno Talas, Manager Hopi Veterans Services visited Veterans at NAVAHCS this week. Aubrey Kopelva, 2nd Attendant, Nevaeh Nez, Princess and Anissa Atone, 1st Attendant. The girls were honored to meet Veterans as well as the wonderful staff who care for our Nation's Heroes.

    American Legion Post #80 Princess and her attendants are cultural ambassadors of the American Legion Lori Piestewa Post #80, Hopi Veterans, Military and their family members. They attend various Veteran and Military related events. They are visiting NAVAHCS Community Living Center (CLC) Veterans on July 16 at 1 p.m.

    The City of Prescott will offer tribute to the fallen Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew (GMIHC) on Saturday, June 30 at 4:20 p.m. The event will take place on a stage located at the intersection of Goodwin and Montezuma streets. The public is also encouraged to visit the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshots Learning and Tribute Center. There will be a public opening at noon Friday, June 29.     The first official national flag had 13 white stars on a blue field and 13 alternating red and white stripes—both representing the 13 original colonies. Now there are 50 stars, one for each state in the Union, but the 13 stripes remain. Flag Day was first celebrated in 1877, on the flag’s 100th birthday.

    Thank You to all of our wonderful staff who came out to celebrate this year's picnic and Diversity Day Event. The Whipple Employee Association (WEA) with the Diversity Group worked very hard to make this a successful event for everyone.
