One of the most relaxing places I go when I'm in Kansas! I love taking pictures by the river and the sights you can see, like the old buildings and the small area of animal's! Go there at any age and there will be something to do! My kids used to love the playground and we spent many hour's there.

Riverside Park is really fun for walking, playing, looking at lakes. There is a lot of geese and geese poop 👀. There's a water play fountain too. Bathrooms do need cleaned. And wouldn't advise water fountains.

Nice place for a walk by the river. They are renovating a free zoo that features local wildlife. The children's playground is modern. There may be hobos in the area.

The zoo deserves five stars and so does the staff and the volunteers that work there. The maintenance people do the best they can do with that park it seems to me that the city has cut funding and the little ponds have suffered greatly from the funding cut. The ponds used to be clean and clear and now they're filled with algae and trash. I think this is very pretty Park and I like going there with my dogs it's a great place to walk your dogs . However I do think the police need to make a point to drive through this particular Park on a regular basis and do a walk-around to protect the people that want to utilize the park early in the morning or at dusk. It seems to me that this is when you have a lot of the drug addicts and drunks come out going through trash bins panhandling for money making it very uncomfortable for a female to be there alone or be there alone with just your kids. I do feel that there is a security issue at this park and needs to be addressed by the police department. I definitely feel safe there during the day however I would not stay at this park after the Sun starts going down

Very nice and peaceful place to go eat at with the kids! There is animals in a caged housing and I was so impressed with the atmosphere of the park! Kids are sure to find it is so much fun!
