A small motel nestled among a group of larger motel, was surprisingly better than expected. The room was clean and updated. The inexpensive cost explains the absense of ammentities such as shampoo and tissues. It could also use an additional trash can. Otherwise it was bright, clean and updated.

July MC trip with several couples. Dated of course. You can tell that by just driving by so you shouldn't be surprised. Clean, comfortable, reasonable price. Had a blast bowling next doorafter departure and a couple hours away, my buddy realized he forgot his phone. Contacted owner who located it and mailed it home. I'll stay here anytime.

Well I just checked into my room at the Normandy in st ignace and if it wasn't so late id get my money back and check out I found an earwig plus flies everywhere flying around dead flies on the bathroom floor, pee on the toilet seat, hair in bathtub plus I feel strongly that they didn't change the sheets but just re made the bed after last person left yuuuck dirt all over carpet cable doesn't even work pfft I highly recommend you DO NOT come here it's not worth 58 plus tax. And last but not least it was 58 plus tax so it should he be 61.84 he charged me 64.96 like what how does that make sense I'll never ever ever come back if you see comments saying otherwise there liars light didn't work at first in bathroom and bedroom. No coffee maker in here:'( water on nightstand to(it looks like water so ill stick with that)name Dust on the lamp as well

Very nice up north motor court motel. The grounds are immaculate with an inviting clean heated pool. The rooms are not fancy but that is part of the upnorth experience. They are very, very clean and comfortable. Newer mattresses with very nice sheets, blankets and bedspreads. I thought is was charming and retro. Great value. The employees are very friendly and helpful taking the time to explain the area. Will definitely return

Under $50.00 after tax if your on a motorcycle. Okay the rooms may be dated,but for$ 48,and some change hey it's a deal. Veterans also receive 20%. Close to town,and a good home base for some UP exploration.

I rated this motel 3 stars because it's close to downtown, the man at the front desk was nice and it's really cheap; $60 after tax for two people in a big room with two beds. For someone traveling on a very low budget, this is a plus for me. If you're someone who is squeamish about cleanliness You might want to skip this place, though. On the surface it looks pretty ok, but lying on the floor stretching I found myself looking right into two really long toenails (!! Gross !!) and this morning -- after sleeping in the bed for two days -- I looked down and spotted a crusty, caked brown spot on the blanket that I am really really hoping was old melted chocolate. ( it wasn't a stain It was a caked on brown matter) I sleep in a lot of pretty gross motels since I'm bike touring on a tight budget, but toenails and brown caked on (please please please chocolate) whatever crud on the blanket is really a tad over the line. Ugh. Won't be leaving a tip for my less than conscientious housekeepers

It is slightly out-dated, but the owners are very accommodating, the rooms were clean and they're nicely located. Far better than expected, based on the price.

Recently, I have been to this Motel and I was happy with my decision. by reading these reviews, I was littlebit scared to book the room at Normany but I didn't have any other option as the other Hotel/Motel prices were 3 to 4 times more than what Normandy charged us. It is older but clean and worth for price which we paid.
