Hello Students!! Guess what time it is? Time for a bonus edition of Meet Your Navigator!!! For your bonus edition, meet Amber from the College of HSS.

“Hi, I’m Amber! I graduated NMSU with bachelor degrees in Psychology and Sociology and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy! In my spare time, I enjoy binge watching on a multitude of television shows and I absolutely love to cook (I’m a foodie!). Two fun facts about me: I was born in Brooklyn, New... York and I love to travel! I am looking forward to going back to the east coast this year for Christmas and next year I am excited to embark on a new venture, a study abroad trip offered here at NMSU that visits Australia, New Zealand and the Cook Islands. Traveling the world and experiencing the many wonders different countries and cultures have to offer, is a passion very close to my heart! Education is also very important to me truly and I am thankful to be a student at New Mexico State University. I feel as if I am surrounded by the best of the best and learning from those who are knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. I cherish our campus and the environment because it fosters a sense of togetherness and evokes a feeling of welcome! New Mexico State University is truly a place where we can all come into our own, live life, have fun, learn many things and begin our journeys of success. As a student, I know firsthand that so many opportunities await you! The world is your oyster! Go Aggies!"

    Thanks, Amber

It's that time again!!! Another series of "Meet Your Navigator." Meet Julio! He is one of our Navigators for the College of Arts and Sciences.

He completed his undergraduate studies in Music Education, and is now working on receiving a Master of Music in Performance. Julio says,... “I dove into college full of uncertainty—not having a clear idea on what I wanted to pursue. Eventually, I decided on music because it was something that I truly enjoyed above all else. I am very fortunate to say that my choice of going into NMSU’s music program opened up many opportunities for me. Throughout my undergrad, I met some of my greatest friends, mentors, and developed a new perspective on how I want to live my life. I learned a lot about myself as an educator, performer, and, more importantly, as a member of our community as a whole. I have much gratitude for the NMSU music faculty, as well as my peers.

Recently, I traveled to the Caribbean island of Aruba to be a part of the Nuevo Mundo Festival & Academy, where I had the opportunity to meet some of the greatest musicians and people from all over the world. It was such a refreshing experience to collaborate with musicians from different backgrounds and cultures, knowing that everyone was working towards a common goal. This is but one of many opportunities that NMSU has to offer for students. I highly encourage all of you to explore the world through a different perspective!”

Julio is second from the left. This picture is from his trip to Aruba!

Happy Friday!! It is time once again for another series of "Meet Your Navigator." For this Friday's edition meet Robert!

Robert says,... "What I love about NMSU is the people. I will always value the education I received while studying here, but it is the relationships and friendships that I made during my time as an undergrad and a graduate student that will stick with me for the rest of my life. There is a real sense of community here on campus, and I feel that if you are willing to put yourself out there, you will be sure to form lifelong connections. When I am off campus, I like to spend my time with my wife, go to the movies with friends, travel to new places, and play with my dog."

Robert is with the College of Education and you can find him at the Navigator office in Milton Hall 14.
