This was a great experience staying here. You are right on the beach, and everything is in walking distance. If the room had a microwave I would have given it a 5 star rating.

Location is in a perfect location to bars and restaurants and just steps right outside to the beach. The staff made you feel very welcome. The rooms are very cozy and clean and comfortable.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TOTALLY UNORGANIZED! I booked this hotel on the phone. They sent a confirmation on 12/20/17. I canceled the SAME DAY because my husband had booked another place without me knowing. The hotel charged the full amount even though I had canceled within 24 hours. When I called them they said they never received my email. When I told the I had actually send TWO emails to cancel (and then forward those emails as proof), they still insisted they never go them . And still insisted the charge was valid. I responded that it can't be my fault that their reservation system is not working (since BOTH emails were never received... ). They still didn't want to refund me. This is highly unprofessional. Travelers need to know their business acumen before making a reservation at this place. Needless to say, I'm also filing a complaint at the Better Business Bureau.

Quaint hotel right on the strand. The rooms cute, homey and comfortable. My room had a Jacuzzi tub and a beautiful Ocean View. There's complimentary bikes, beach chairs, towels, breakfast and boardgames. There's a nice bar and lounge area with a fireplace. The staff was helpful and friendly. Great restaurant next door and shopping close by. Only wish I had booked a longer stay.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Me and my husband plus our 9 month old stayed here for 2 nights. We loved the room- it had a huge bathroom with shower and jacuzzi! The location is just awesome- the beach is just a few steps away. Everyone there was super nice too. Highly recommend if you're staying in Newport Beach. We miss it already

I flew out from Dallas, to come to California for my mother 94th birthday. I booked this room I think 2 months in advance. I was booked for 2 nights . I also paid for something extra like a bottle of wine and a cook book.
For over 300 per day, I was looking forward to a beach front room.

When I checked in I was book in a room in the middle of the hotel, up the flight of stairs, down the hall, and to the left.

I am not one to complain but I an 64 years old, with a bad back.
After finding their parking lot, I had to haul my luggage up to flights of stairs. I did not ask for help, but none was offered by the front desk.

I went on, I went to high school in the area, so I was excited to explore some of my old stomping grounds.

The room I was booked into had the bathroom downstairs. After hauling my luggage up, my back was not feeling good. I had to make sure I used the hand rail every time I had to go to the bathroom.

Also my room did not have any chairs. You could sit on the bead to watch TV, or the floor.

There was light if any front desk help. I went down stair to ask for water. No one was around but I knew they kept the bottle, so I kept calling out "I am going to get some water". After getting the water and walking back to the front of the hotel did front desk clerk came out from the back room, and was very upset with me. She kept demanding my room number. I was started and I gave her my room number, and I was charged $1.50 on my bill.
There are a number of other thing like the $50+ package I ordered but never received.
I was there to enjoy Newport Beach, which every other business up and down the walk ++++ (A special shout out to the Beach Ball)

For the price, the Newport Beach Hotel is not worth it, I would recommend renting a beach house for a lower cost and the same experience.

Delicious food. Moderately priced drinks. Friendly wait staff. Wild turtles roam the grounds. Table made of a material that reminds me of when my grandfather was still alive. Chandaliers had a bit too many pictures of starfox on them but it fit in with our waiter who indeed was foxy beyond this world.

Very laid back hotel. Adorable place with great location. My mom and I were impressed with the 2 young boys that work there as they were attentive, prompt, and always willing to help with a smile.

Highly recommend staying here! Beautiful interior, with a colonial beachy vibe. The rooms are kind of small, but the location and the views are excellent. The staff was friendly, and you can sit out in the front lobby and have a beverage while watching all the activity on the beach. Plenty of things to do all within walking distance.

Tiny rooms with ocean views. Bathroom door barely clears toilet. Cool jets in tub. Nice bed. Bike rentals included. Nice, helpful front desk. Location makes the room worth it overall.

I am not sure I can capture the disappointment for this property on this review. We arrived late one evening and the parking to check in was atrocious. Waited 45 minutes to try and pull up. After getting our room and our children almost to bed, I looked up at the ceiling and saw the ceiling that was wet and full of black mold. I mean lots of it. I told the front desk and it took a good effort on my part to insist that room was not going to work before they moved us into a different room. The new room had mildew in the bathroom and was also severely outdated again....by 30 years. The lobby and general areas are updated and nice, but the rooms, sadly, are not.

I was not impressed by this hotel. They lack windows which is not acceptable for the price paid. The breakfast is basic but can help you to start your day. The beach was extremely dirty and no shower service after checkout was offered by hotel (after a day on the beach). Checkout was little early for a Sunday.

I went there with my DH for our honeymoon. I think the price was kinda expensive for a small room without windows and fridge. The parking lot is small too. We asked the staff and then used the main fridge downstairs to put our food/drink we brought. What's good about he hotel is it's exactly in front of the beach, and close to restaurants.
