I go there every day it's the best library there is, plenty of books for all ages! They also have a children department perfect for children. An amazing library for all ages!

They go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. I like that about the NCPL

We joined this library after living here 3 years our main reason was due to not having a car to go to usual la porte libraries. What a absaulute shock it's stunning, very clean kept, spacious plenty of computers for those needing Internet access, very quiet and if need absalute quiet without people passing you by they have 2 study rooms you can book. Also love the fact that they have outdoor sofas and seating areas for those who have laptops and want to enjoy some fresh air on their or take some drinks and sit outside in comfort.. The only complaint we had was took almost a week to input my data to allow internet access but was promptly sorted when asked why my user password wouldn't let me log in.

The reason for the four star rating is only due to the low number of dvd
checkouts. It is 5 per card which for a family of four isn't enough it means basically 1 dvd per day per person which is ok for movies but they do divide tv series collections up into 3-4 cases depending on the show and being that we love to have complete tv series sets to watch means if 6-8 dvds are decided into 2 per case it puts you at the maximum limit. So we have to have use two cards to check out dvds to give the kids 4 movies to watch over 2-3 days. If you kept tv series grouped into one dvd checkout I would immediately give you 5 *. The second reason is $1 a day fine this is very high compared to La porte county libraries but we've never had a fine as its so local we can walk daily when need to change up our dvd checkouts. Lovely library I'd highly recommend joining wished we had done it sooner!

My only other suggestion would be have a summer concession stand so visit would allow a bite to eat or coffee outside on the supplied seating area during milder weather it is quite a common thing in England's bigger libraries to have little coffe shop/stand and proves very popular as people love to read, use laptops outside with drink during warmer days.
