If you know the suffering ahead, enjoy the bumps. Embrace the hardship, and raise your head high as you cross the finish line.

On the left, I had a lot of people to prove wrong. At 23, I was young in the game, doubted by many and knew I wanted prove I could build something. At 155lbs soaking wet, people laughed at the idea of me competing in anything or even becoming a successful trainer. On the right, my mentality had shifted. It wasn’t about other people, I knew my lane and wanted to prove something to myself. And I wanted my clients, friends and family to be proud. Your motivation bleeds into all ...other areas of your life. On the left, my life was filled with toxic relationships, even a toxic relationship with myself. Its no coincidence that my main motivator was to “prove the haters wrong”. My foundation came from a negative source. Today, my life is filled with positivity. The relationships around me... fuel me. Moral of the story? Fuck what other people think. Their expectations/doubts of you are just a construct based off of their own insecurities. The real journey begins when you look inward and dig deep to find yourself amongst all the stuff we have to deal with in life. You vs you always sounded cliche, until I came to that crossroad: am I going to do things to impress/please everyone, or am I gonna do things because I want to pour my energy into something and focus on me. My journey has barely started, but everything started to click when I started to build around improving for me. It started to click when I embraced the support from my loved ones instead of “proving the haters wrong”. Do things so you can wake up better each day, makes the hard days that much easier to deal with. And it makes the finish line that much sweeter.

Want to welcome Natalie to my team. We definitely wanted to balance out the testosterone of having 3 male trainers at my gym, so here ya go! Lol I’ve been looking for a female trainer with my degree and similar certifications, only took a few years but we’re here! She’s got availability in am and pm slots, hit her up for more info 💪

Day 9 of our 30 day prep to the #npcsanjosechampionships My main goal was to tighten up the hamstrings and shrink the waist while maintaining solid food intake. She’s eating more than when we started, dropping bodyfat daily and energy is still high. A little over 2 weeks and I’ll guess this will be a good debut for her 😉 @ Neil's Fitness

Many search for the “magic pill”. The shortcut. The quick route. Here’s the single most important fact for your fitness game. There is no shortcut! Whether its losing 20lbs, doing a pull up, or stepping on stage- its the culmination of small daily tasks that bring you closer to your goal. Wake up, be unapologetically you, work a little harder than you did last week and watch yourself transform. The tiniest step forward is super valuable during the marathon.

Reunited with my big ole baby/gym greeter after vacation- missed her too much!

I apologize for not getting back to all the missed emails, vociemails and dm’s i’ve gotten- i literally just back last night but! I’m heading to my office as we speak and I’m ready to rock n roll. If you’re ready to start training then hit me up- lets get this ball rolling 😈💪

Killed an epic breakfast buffet here at our hotel in Barcelona called the Catelonia Born, one of the highest rated hotels in the city. Then I dragged @jv.vo89 to one of the best gyms in town to do legs with me 😈

In my last showing, I was bested in the quad sweep area(among other things). Which I will definitely fuckin change(even though I can barely fit my “loose” fit jeans). My focus on my previous prep was to develop my abductors, the inner thigh muscles that pull the Femur... closer in towards your midline. Now that those are developed, we’ll add more meat to the Vastus Lateralus- the outer quad muscle; To create a wider look to the legs. Regardless of your goals- you have to create a research based plan and approach it methodically.

Currently not taking any In person clients for the month of June, but I am still offering online training for those that wish to get their program structured. Which is a great way to get started if you are on a waiting list to get in my schedule at my gym.

Two days left here in Spain and its back to work 😈💪 @ Bulky Gym

Day one on stage- June 7th, 2014. I dieted down to 153-155lbs for the newly created mens physique class. 5 years later, added 25lbs of stage weight over my career to try out the newly created classic physique class, walking on stage at about 179-180lbs. Thats what I love about the process. Its you vs you. Thats the only thing you can control, is improving a little bit more each time. I dont have the genetics to be the cream of the crop. I knew that back in 2014. But I do have drive and determination, and we can always get a little better 😁

First place novice for this active duty champ @justkaos at the Asian Olympia amateur in Korea. We ended up second callouts in the open. Going in I knew he’d be one of the lightest guys but we still beat 25+ competitors at a mere 183lbs (6’4). The judges all said he was perfect, just more size is needed.

Being randomly stationed in certain countries made it extremely hard for us as a team to game plan and get all the bare essentials for food and supplements needed. We got by ...with what we could and made some major improvements from last year. Next up we’ll be adding 50lbs slowly to this guys frame and taking a long and steady offseason so we can hang with the 220lb+ tall competitors 😉 Proud of this guy- whether he had training, job obligations, lack of sleep- I never heard a single complaint. Just a “copy” and back to work. Thats the mindset of a winner, and you’re def a fierce competitor my friend 😁 #military #muscle #airforce
