Nebraska Medicine represents the clinical integration of The Nebraska Medical Center, the state’s largest and highest rated hospital, Bellevue Medical Center and UNMC Physicians.

Our newly integrated organization allows us to strengthen our services by expanding collaboration among our partners and providing increased access to more than 1,000 physicians and 678 licensed hospital beds as well as 39 ambulatory clinics in Omaha and the surrounding area. Nebraska Medicine employs more than 5,300 employees.

Nebraska Medicine has a very strong international presence and reputation in oncology and solid organ transplantation. It is also highly regarded regionally in cardiology, neurology and trauma. The hospital also provides clinical services in general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, gastroenterology, rheumatology, diabetes, obstetrics/newborns, emergency medicine, OB/GYN oncology, otolaryngology, endocrine, burn, dermatology, HIV, oral surgery, primary care, pharmacy, pathology and infectious disease/bioterrorism.

U.S. News and World Report recently named Nebraska Medicine - Nebraska Medical Center one of America's Best Hospitals in five specialties: Cancer, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, and Orthopaedics. It was also named the top hospital in Nebraska.

Nebraska Medicine serves as the primary teaching partner for the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

  Ready for a double dose of adorable? For the first time ever, Nebraska Medicine - Bellevue welcomed two sets of twins on the same day! First came identical sisters Sofia and Camila at 8:05 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Friday, December 7th. Then at 11:50 and 11:51 a.m., a second set of twin sisters arrived. The oldest of that pair is named Mari and her parents are still picking a name for her twin! Congrats to both families and to our very busy labor and delivery team!

  A HUGE thank you goes out to Lungs4Life Foundation Inc! Check out the total they raised this year for lung cancer research at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center! Leah Bochnicek was diagnosed with a rare form of non-smoker's lung cancer five years ago, but thanks to a revolutionary treatment here, her cancer is still in remission. Leah and her husband, Tim, started Lungs 4 Life in 2015 to raise awareness and money to fight the disease. Thanks, Bochniceks and Lungs 4 Life!   A sneak peek! We held a ribbon cutting for Nebraska Medicine - Fontenelle, our newest primary clinic, last night. Check out the photos, or come see it for yourself Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 5005 Ames Ave. There will tours of the clinic, free pictures with Santa and you can donate to a gift drive to benefit the Omaha Home for Boys!

  Our youngest patients have seen Santa this week, and now the Marines! It's an annual tradition for them to stop by as a part of the Toys For Tots program. Toys For Tots collects new, unwrapped toys and donates them nationwide. As you can see, our little ones couldn't have been more excited! @toysfortots

  A visit from the Jolly Old Elf himself! Santa Claus from Macy's at the Gateway Mall in Lincoln stopped by to see our pediatric patients, and check out the smiles he put on their faces! Santa read stories, took gift requests and even gave Aflac ducks to the kids. Thanks, Santa, for making things so merry and bright!
