I frequently go to Natural Bridge to hike. There are multiple good trails at the park. My favorite is the "Original Trail" that leads to the top of Natural Bridge, which is a large sandstone arch. The view of Appalachia from the top of Natural Bridge is great. If you are not in the mood to hike, there is a chair lift that can gradually take you to the top. I'd recommend going in the Fall when the trees change color. There are also several nice picnic areas located in the park. Employees at the Lodge are freindly. Overall, Natural Bridge is an incredible park for anyone that enjoys spending time outdoors.

A must see natural Arch. It's not the biggest in the address though. Gray's Arch, just a few miles away is actually bigger. It takes a hike through the woods it's about an hour to get to it though. The hike is fairly easy and family friendly (It is NOT paved though, so it won't work for push chairs or wheel chairs. ) Best time to see three Arch is before or after the trees have leafed out. The leaves can hide it from view from the main part of the trail. (You will still see the signs going you too though.)

I came to this park to hike, I did not stay in the lodge or eat at the restaurant so I don't have any review of that. The hiking trails in the park or pretty well-maintained, getting up to the Natural Bridge is not a long hike it's about one mile from the parking lot. Once you get up to the bridge there's a number number of other trails that you can take about three other spots you can hike to that have nice views. Most of the trails are pretty easy to walk I would rate overall the trails as moderate. I think you could bring people who are not used to hiking or children and they would enjoy themselves. My biggest complaint is that several people were smoking cigarettes which is bothersome because one of the reasons to go to Nature's and get the fresh air. Also I saw many people bring their dogs which is not supposed to happen so it seems that the park could do a better job making sure people are following the rules. I would definitely go back.

Natural Bridge State Park is a great destination for camping! We stayed in the Middle Fork campground, which nestles right up against the Red River. Facilities are clean and generally well maintained and access to trail heads is easy. The state park itself is part of Daniel Boone National Forest and is a natural beauty. My only complaint was that electric hookups were poorly placed for many of the sites, including mine.

There are many interesting sites to see in the area. Take a driving tour through the park to find interesting museums, local history, hiking trails, and small businesses (avoid tourist traps on the road in). The natural bridge itself is a wonder to behold! Make sure you explore the top of it and the surrounding bluffs.

Great hiking, nature, and camping. Stayed at the State Park hotel late one summer. Got great rates just before the fall price increase. The buffet in the hotel restaurant was very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice place yo eat and relax after hiking. Chairlift to the top is great. Terrifying, but great. There's an accessible trail too.

I stayed in Middle Fork campground and had an amazing time walking the trails. The visitors center was very informative and the staff helpful. Beautiful park, some areas slightly crowded but that can't be helped. Would gladly go back.

The location of the Park is wonderful. A beautiful, wild and rugged area. A place to enjoy nature and heal any inner turmoil. The lodge here is old and quite dated but has been rehabbed fairly well. The restaurant serves good, hearty food. All in all a great place for hiking, rock climbing and eating.

Fantastic Location. That's the most important part about this hotel. Right next to natural bridge and all the action. The service was decent and so were the rooms. Breakfast was not included, but it was pretty good for 9 dollars (typical southern breakfast fare). I would recommend it and go there again.

Beautiful area we missed the sky lift, too much rain but it would have been amazing. Took Original trail to natural bridge from behind lodge, it was flat but had lots of steps to climb. Very slick at points, do not recommend in rain. Very well maintained, lots of benches & lil gazebos. Not long. The bridge was pretty neat. My hubby braved narrow steps to top, it was pouring down like a waterfall & very deep on stairs so I did not go up. He said it was worth it. Would love to do lift if we return to the area.

This place was awesome! It takes some stamina to make it to the top for those who don't want to pay to ride the sky lift but well worth it! Absolutely beautiful. Great for all ages, our 9 year old climbed faster then we did.

The lodge is a historic area with a cozy location. I have visited but never stayed overnight. I have attended functions there and met family for dinner. The cabins are very nice. Pool is nice but was much better back in the day. Used to be a large and deep pool when I was in middle school. I'm a local originally. Recently visited for trail hiking. Was surprised most don't venture farther than the original bridge trail. A few go to lookout point. Most do not venture past this point. Missing great views off lovers leap. Was disappointed in the shape of the restrooms at the gift shop area down below the lodge. Nasty. Doors broken. Such a shame. Still love hiking there and neighboring red river gorge!

Friendly staff and excellent views. Great for beginner hikers and sightseeing. The skylift is rather helpful for individuals who can't make the hike up, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily wheelchair accessible at the top due to uneven terrain. At the bottom of the mountain is a playground and a pool to cool off in as well as some paddle boats. Overall great way to waste the day and lose yourself in nature. Added bonus: it's about a 10 minute drive from Red River Gorge.

Hiked up with the kids in tow to see the bridge today. Everyone complaining or dragging feet all the way to the top...and then they were all smiles because no one can get in the presence of such beauty and majesty! In a world increasingly narrowed to pictures on a hand-held screen, it pleases me there are still things that display our true place in the grand scheme of existence. Go forth and bring your loved ones so that they, too, can experience life outside the social media box!

We stayed for 2 nights at red river gorgeous cabins. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There was also a man who lived in the apartment next to us that was very friendly. All the trails we hiked were well marked and accurately described. We can't wait to come back!

We spent only a short period of time here. Got here too late in the day to do much, but it's a really nice area. We rode the lift up. It's pretty terrifying in part if you don't like heights. The view from the top is gorgeous. You can look right over the rock edge... Feels like you could call right off. There is a far area where you can go out and look over and see the natural bridge, but we didn't get time to go as we had to get the last lift ride down. Some guy told us we should do it... Said it's really beautiful. Clean area, a nice park nearby, some attractions, a few restaurants close as well. Pretty cool area... Will need to go when we have more time earlier in the day.
