The food here is expensive, but worth it. If you bring kids, buy the bracelet for the best value on the rides. The big Ferris wheel is the easiest way to get the bird's eye view of the fairgrounds. It's really pretty at night with all the lights on. The games are all rigged, if course. I remember riding the big Ferris wheel as a kid and looking down at the basketball hoops. They were oval-shaped! There's no way to hit that shot!

Of course I just love the NC State Fair every October. We took the shuttle from triangle town center for $5 (round trip) and the bus let us off at the main entrance! We'll never drive there again, look for parking and paying those outrageous prices to walk a good distance to even get to the fair.
Wonderful entertainment, delicious food to taste and purchase. Lots of exhibits to see as well. Large section of rides and games. Fun for all ages! Mark your calendars for next October! See you there!!

Really enjoyed this state fair. It was tremendous. The food was outrageously good. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food that you get. The Turkey dinner egg roll was crazy good. The rides were great and they went a long time. I was exhausted at the end of the day. Can't wait until next year.

Great rides. Great food. Amazing how there guys deep fry things you could never imagine being fried. The rides tend to have huge waiting lines, and also are kinda expensive. So go early if you wanna have good fun. It pays to check the schedule on their for cool stuff that happens during the state fair.

I was very excited to finally visit the NC State fair. I LOVED the free shuttle to the fairgrounds. That was awesome. As far as the fair, it was nice. However, I did not like how spread out all the rides were. It got a little confusing. Also took us a good long while to find where we could buy tickets. Staff could have been a little friendlier but we did go on the last weekend so they could have been at their end. Lol.

The NC State Fair is truly a wonderful experience when it isn’t absolutely packed. Fridays and the weekends are absolutely packed later in the day, and the last weekend of the Fair are the worst, so I’d recommend going during the week. But other than that, the food is pretty great, lots of fun rides and going from one part of the Fair to the other side is less of a pain with the addition of the ski lifts.

For those who are interested in artisan crafts, check out the blacksmiths near the Village of Yesteryear, and also the Village of Yesteryear itself.

It was my first time and everything went good. I didn’t pay for the Admission ticket instead bought some cans at Lion Foods and I saved some $7. Since I like riding the rides I got the wristband which was $35 but better than just paying for the tickets. For dinner I got 2 slices of pizza for $5. I also got deep fried oreos for $6 and I LOVED THEM. The lines were sometimes long but it didn’t take that much time. There was also a good variety of foods. I really liked the experience but you have to get mentally prepared that you’ll spend some money

Parking still is not fun. Go along the West side where families live and pay them 15 dollars to park. Best place for sure. Wish the had more different types of food options. Most booths were the same. Security was ok. You walked through metal detectors but easy to place something near a fence and get it later. Overall, Had a good time with my family

The North Carolina State Fair is a wonderful experience. I went on the first day it opened for $1.50 entry and enjoyed french fries from Big Al's and fudge and bluegrass music.. they were so good at incorporating music from Bob Dylan The Beatles and more that I purchase their CD they are a young group of guys from the North Carolina Mountains.."Cane Mill ".. Our state fair is a great, you find so many things that our state is so proud of, and there's plenty to do without spending much money at all.. I signed up to when a Chevrolet Transverse and just for doing that and providing an email, I was given a t-shirt with the Chevrolet bowtie in side of the state of North Carolina symbol What a great gift All the cheese and milk samples, the free Pig Race and so much more are some of the things I enjoy that are free at our state fair If you don't go this year make sure you go next Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina on a cool day at the NC State Fair LOVE A FAIR

This was my first time attending the nc state fair and I must say that I really enjoy myself. It was so much to do with my family and I really enjoyed the food! The only thing I would like to suggest is that they have better labeling of the lines. People had to ask what line belongs to what ride and there were people cutting line because we couldn't get it in order. Other than that..it was great!

Flea Market on Saturday and Sunday is fun. They also have all sorts of shows & expos on the weekends. Of course, the highlight is the State Fair in October. Watch for traffic in the fall with NC State football home games using this same area for parking.

Went to the flee market. It is a little over sized but great for just walking around and in typical flee market fashion the items available are varied in both quality and price. Very easy to over pay for a piece of junk or possibly find a hidden treasure at a decent price. There is an awesome stall with ceramic pots that are priced really low which was exciting to find. Inside there is a nice honey/hot sauce shop and a couple interesting options for handmade soaps/bath salts.

I go to the fairgrounds for the annual fair as well as the flea market and it's kept neat. Be wary of the fact that the events consist of a very Caucasian old thinking group of people and you will get a look if you are not a part of their caste. Besides that it makes for a good stroll on a nice NC day.

It is a good place to go on weekends. There's always something going on inside the fairgrounds. My family and I went to the Got To Be NC fair. The tasting on local products include wines, beers, BBQ sauces, and many more. It only cost $3 for the admission. Highly recommended.

The weekends is the only time I go here. The best time to do so is after 1. If that's too late than get there earlier than 9 a.m. or else you'll have a hard time finding a parking spot. Inside the building is a variety of small shops. From food to leather to getting your watch fix by the "watch guy" (he does an amazing job btw [tell him Ruthie sent ya]! It's fun and requires time to thoroughly shop around.
