So disappointed! Went to pick up pies ordered and add some to it and when I walked in the door I was welcomed with a stare. I said the name for the order to be picked up and then I had more. The woman working the counter had not one word to say to me. It was quite obvious I had never been there before. I saw the wonderful looking pies in the refrigerator case. I had no clue there was a huge amount of fruit pies on the shelf behind. I ordered a whole coconut cream pie. I asked her if she had that one and she said yes. Well the box is marked coconut cream that she wrote on it, but when I served it, guess what, its banana cream! I spent $95 dollars at her business and then to end it no THANK YOU! 3 bags of pies put on table and didn't even ask if she could get the door! Banana cream was enjoyed. Lemon meringue had refrigerator taste and French silk had some awful chocolate paste spread on the crust. My take is customer service is everything! I assume the owner was the woman. Fair product but wished I had seen fruit pies before I ordered and would have been told a little about their offerings in there. Not a positive experience. Hope they can get their customer service together!!!!
Also hope they can learn the power and value of the word THANK YOU, when a customer supports your business. It really goes far and makes you want to return. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Best pie ever. We discovered their Galena shop 2 weeks ago and have been back for seconds already. So far we've had bourbon pecan, strawberry-rhubarb, chocolate, and cherry pie by the slice and a whole very berry. All excellent but the BEST is their banana cream which we've indulged in 2 whole pies of!

I have heard many good things about this place. I was happy when I finally got the chance to go there. Set in a beautiful old building on Main St, the interior could not be more appurtenant. From the tin ceilings, to the local photos, and regional crafts, the aura is comfortable and appropriate. The service was excellent and the choices tempting. The pie case gives you a sense of rush as that I wanted to finish my meal to get to the pies.

My meal choice was a special of the day, chicken pot pie with a side of corn casserole. I found the chicken pot pie to have a fair amount of vegetables, peas and carrots and I believe I even spotted a green bean in there. However, it was lacking in any noticeable chicken and the gravy was bland and underwhelming. The crust was fine as would be expected from a pie place. The corn casserole was as the pot pie, it was just so so. The old restaurant saying is that you can’t make corn muffins better than jiffy, even if you throw in a can of corn. For dessert I had the German Chocolate Cream Pie, which was very good. The right amount of sweetness, chocolatey goodness, with just a hint of coconut. The crust once again was spot on.

According to The Big Food Jerk.

Based on my one time experience I would recommend the pies but was disenchanted by the rest of the meal. I so wanted to rave about everything but in good conscience cannot. I, however, would go back and give it another try because I believe there are some good offerings to be had.
