Happy Holidays Seafood & Wings Fans!! Sorry it took so long for an update but we've literally had our hands full. Franchising is a long, daunting process. The laws and requirements for each state are different so the process is taking longer than expected. The biggest setback has been the trademarking of the name "My Place". Locally we are good but to use the name Nationally is a whole other beast. We want all of you to know that we have not forgotten about you and that we are dedicated and working diligently to get licensed to start sharing our store with the world! There are a few changesThe Harlem location is out and Manhattan (Chelsea) has replaced Charlotte as the first store location in the franchise based on our latest economic feasibility & financial projection studies. The Washington, DC location is still the replacement store for our old Bowie location within the franchise plans but if we find private investors before inception, the Washington, DC store can operate independently and open much faster. Otherwise DC will be store #3. Lastly, Thank you for your emails, phone calls and text messages of support. Stay tuned and we wish you all a Happy New Year!🎉

We are both happy & sad to announce that we are RELOCATING! My Place Seafood & Wings has been given the remarkable opportunity to grow & expand operations by franchising our brand. A total dream come true for any restauranteur. Now for the sad part A rigorous & thorough feasibility analysis has determined that our Bowie store would have to be relocated to a more dynamic market that will be able to successfully sustain the new franchise in this region, therefore, Washington, DC was chosen to be the NEW Mid-Atlantic home to the brand. Although DC was chosen for this region, the first store in this new franchise will open in Charlotte, NC, our Southeast Regional market. Timelines, plans and information on exactly when the DC store will open will be posted on our website www.myplacecarryout.com and our social media so stay tuned and continue to follow us on this momentous journey. We would like to say "Thank You" to all of you for your continued support and patronage in our first year in Bowie. This opportunity was afforded to us because of your favorable word of mouth regarding our food and your experiences inside our clean, visually stunning store! We so appreciate YOU! And our plea for anyone who is upset that we are leaving Bowie is to support your favorite local businesses on a CONSISTENT basis in order to keep them in your immediate communities. This builds up your market and makes it a viable option for small businesses while also attracting big retailers.
